E.Z CATTLE BRUSH WITH OILER Tt'ris apparatus can effectively be used against lice and against flies. It is not advisable to force the animals to pass under the brushes at fixed times. The apparatus functions best when placed in a loose housing barnyard or pasture where the animals can walk freely around and where it can be used by the animals when needed. The animals have to get used to the brushes before the reservoir is filled. Flies: lf cattle used the brush twice a day or more, reduce liquid flow to 20 drops a Lice: minute. i Cows that are troubled by lice will use the brushes and in this way apply insecticides on their skins. The speed with which the liquid should pass is approx. 60 drops per minute. Repeat this process within two to three weeks, if necessary. One apparatus can be used for approx. 50 to 75 cows. How to change the speed with which the liquid through the brushes: . Adjust the tap . Push up on one nipple stem . Time the drops & set as necessary to the size of your herd & the daily use the brush . if necessary adjust and check again passes Check label of any insecticides. Height: Mount the unit so that the horizontal brush reaches the back of the animal. Recommended height for holstein dairy is approx. 50-54" underneath the horizontal brush, depending of course on height of your cow When installed in the right place and when welt adjusted, the apparatus is very effective and uses a minimum of insecticides.
