"Quiet and high performance muffler." is the concept of the
product. Φ 85 straight pipe design without narrow portion
enables high performance up to 650PS. Oval silencer and slit
tip reduce noise level to be within street legal sound level.
Sound is reduced only for cold starting, street driving and
highway cruising at low rpm. Comfort in cabin and noise level at
residence area were important factors during development. This
product is capable of high horsepower vehicle that can be used
for daily use.

●"From stock vehicle to high power vehicle over 600PS".
The exhaust pipe is Φ85 straight design that can handle from stock to upgrade turbines.
(Connection portion to catalytic converter is Φ80 so that it fits to HKS Metal Catalyzer.)
No narrow portion inside main silencer and tip pipe to reduce exhaust back pressure.
The pipe layout is as straight as possible for ideal exhaust gas efficiency. Optimized
layout of flanges enables enough road clearance as the same level as stock.

HKS' unique sound control technology Slit tip !!
The inner slit shape of tip has silencer effect and it was
designed with inspiration from owl's wing.
Owls fly without sound by their notches shape of the wing
tip that releases air to prevent friction of air and eliminate
noise. With this idea, slit inside tip of muffler eliminates
noise about 2dB.
Sound level and frequency were analyzed both inside and
outside cabin so that it does not prevent conversations and
would not cause noise problem outside. In addition, low
frequency noise was reduced to prevent uncomfortable
noise inside and outside cabin.
●"Quiet and comfort sound level."
The exhaust sound was tuned for each situation of "street", "idling", "driving in residence
area", "cold starting" and "high speed cruising". Two different conditions of "comfort in
the cabin" and "outside noise" are tuned for each situation. Uncomfortable low frequency
noise is cut.
●"The unique RB26 sound during acceleration."
During acceleration, "The unique RB engine sound" can be heard at high rpm. It is "quiet
and comfortable" at low rpm during street driving and "Exciting RB engine sound" at high
rpm during circuit driving. GT-R owners would love it.
With HKS Front Pipe and Metal Catalyzer, the sound level clears Japanese road safety
regulations.
