Tamarisk Coalition Tamarisk Coalition The Tamarisk Coalition’s mission is to provide education and technical assistance in the restoration of riparian lands Incorporated as a nonprofit in 2002 Western states focus Support provided to land managers working in areas impacted by tamarisk, Russian olive, etc. Grant and donor driven organization Programmatic Philosophy Through education and technical assistance TC will help: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Define the problem and underlying causes of the problem. Develop a comprehensive management and restoration approach. Control tamarisk and other invasive species. Revegitate either through active and/or passive means. Monitor and long-term maintenance and adaptive management. Identify funding resources to implement all components of restoration. Facilitate coordination among stakeholders to enhance this process.
