on this tour is to show group members how
products are actually produced IN OHIO
where over 45 manufacturing plants
operate. From the practical to the
premium, it's all MADE IN OHIO. Every item
is 100% guaranteed to be produced in the
USA. Quality, style, and Made in the USA;

Day One
A tour of the Phoenix Bat Company.
Come see a wood
baseball bat being
made on the biggest,
bat making machine
anywhere! Spend an
hour and experience
a level of bat making
like no other: Learn
how to make a great
bat - from wood to design. Go on the shop floor
and see bats made right in front of you. Hear
about today's pros ... and get your hands on
their bats. Step back 100+ years to bats from
baseball's start. It's Ohio's own, pro approved,
wood bat manufacturer.
Tour the American Whistle Corporation,
the only manufacturer of metal whistles in the
United States; it also makes the loudest
whistle in the world - 4 decibels louder than the
nearest competitor. See how America’s only
metal whistle factory gets those little balls into
its whistles. Sold to the New York Police, the
NFL referees as well as the United States Air
Force, Army, Navy and Marines. At the end of
the tour, everyone gets a whistle to take
home.
Tour of 5B’s Embroidery, a family owned
business founded in 1980. 5B’s is currently one
of the largest contract embroidery operations in
the United States. 5B’s combines state-of-the
art systems with old fashioned values centered
on the customer. From its humble beginnings as
a specialty sewing business, operated from the
family’s basement, 5B’s now occupies a
170,000 square foot facility, with over 300
embroidery heads, operating 20 hours a day.
Dinner and
entertainment at the
Davis Shai Mansion;
world’s oldest and
largest flag
manufacturer.
Started from a sail loft in
downtown New York City
making signal flags for
sailing ships in the
1820’s, Annin now manufactures over 10,000
different flags and flag accessories.
The
150,000 square foot Coshocton, Ohio facility
manufactures and distributes product to Annin’s
mass retail customers.
This does require
walking. Everyone receives an American
Flag!
built by Jackson Davis
in 1861 and originally
sat near the Ohio and
Erie Canal. Records
support the claim that canal boats brought the
large sandstones that formed the foundation of
the home and that bricks used to build the
house were fired in a kiln located on site. With
its step roofs, wide verandas, cluster chimneys,
and exterior décor, the Davis-Shai
House captures the beautiful Gothic
Revival architectural style popularized by
Andrew Jackson Downey, the nation’s
most prominent landscape architect of
the first half of the nineteenth.
Day Two
Visit to Conn’s Potato Chip Factory.
Potato chips are America’s favorite snack
food. In fact, we consume more than any other
people in the world. And one small company
has been turning out its own special version of
chips for 70 years. Guests are invited into the
factory to see how these delicious, mouthwatering chips are made with 50,000 pounds of
potatoes per day!! Taste testing encouraged
Annin Flagmakers
A visit to Ye Olde Mill, producer of Velvet Ice
Cream. Guests will tour the manufacturing
plant and enjoy an included Ice Cream cone
while they enjoy the Olde Mill complex which
offers a restored grist mill that dates back to
1817, sits on 20
acres of beautiful
countryside, and
features a mill
pond , an ice
cream parlor,
restaurant, gift
shop and Ice
Cream Museum.
Day Two. cont
Longaberger Homestead.
Guests can tour the 880,000
square-foot basket making
facility from the mezzanine
above and watch how each of
the company's baskets are
individually crafted by hand.
The self-guided tour allows
visitors to learn about the rich history of the
basket making craft and The Longaberger
Company, as well as how to use Longaberger
products in the home through innovative Home &
Life displays. The newly expanded Just For Fun
retail shop provides lots of opportunities for tour
souvenirs.
Dinner at the historic Buxton Inn, with a
short tour of this college town en route, home to
Dennison University and looking like a picture
postcard. Originally built as a tavern in 1812, the
Buxton was also Granville’s first Post Office, a
stagecoach stop, and host at various times to
President McKinley, Harriet Beecher Stowe, John
Philip Sousa and Henry Ford. General (later
President) William Henry Harrison actually rode a
horse up the front stairs! The gardens are
always in a full array of seasonal color. This is
Ohio’s oldest, continuously operating Inn.
Day Three, Four, and Five
Columbus Washboard
Company
Manufacturer of the only
washboards still made in the
U.S. today. The site features
company’s products including
Musician Boards, craft ideas,
artisan items, and historical
displays.
Clifton Mill. Situated on a
Dum Dum Sucker Tour. Guests will tour
gorge at the headwaters of
the Little Miami River, this
19th century mill supplied
flour to Union forces during
the Civil War, and was once
owned by John Patterson,
who later founded NCR.
See the inner workings of
the Mill including how flour
and pancake mix being made on site, walk
across the Gorge on an old covered bridge and
browse in the gift shop.

Dum Dums Trolley.
Due to safety and
FDA regulations, the
trolley tour will not go
through the main
kitchen areas, but will
go
through
the
warehouse areas and the most recent addition,
the Portland Street expansion. It is the 87th
production expansion in company history and
nearly 20,000 square feet in size. Visitors are
able to see the palletization area and automatic
case packers. Candy cooking and forming in the
kitchen areas will be shown via a DVD player
while on the trolley tour.
Guided tour through
KitchenAid Factory
Discover
how
the
number one American
made stand mixer is
made. During this one
hour walking tour,
guests will be escorted
through the KitchenAid
historical display area,
to the machine shop, powder paint operation,
sub-assembly, building, shipping, customer
service center and life-test lab. Include the
KitchenAid Experience in historic downtown
Greenville - just before lunch - to whip up your
own culinary creation with the cooking experts.
The group makes their own apple
dumplings to eat there, or take home.
Airstream Factory Tour.
The company
conducts daily tours that give visitors the
opportunity to see how the American legend
Airstream is built. These luxury travel trailers
are custom assembled, by hand, in stages
throughout the manufacturing process.
The
90 minute tour, beginning only at 10 a.m.,
includes a ¾ mile walk, beginning in the service
lobby.
Stinson Organ Company are
uniquely
designed, manufactured and sent all over the
world. Since 1965, Don Stinson has provided
high quality, mechanical music instruments
featuring wooden pipes that perform “The
Happiest Music on Earth”.
These band,
carousel and fairground organs are masterfully
hand-crafted with object d’art facades and
animated characters.
