The core business of The Sports Group is the personal, contractual and commercial
management of high profile professional sports people. As an extension to this core
business, The Sports Group also has exposure to sports marketing and media related

DANIEL RICCIARDO
23 year old Daniel Ricciardo is Australia’s latest full time Formula 1 driver who is
making a major impression on the international stage. For many years he was signed
to Red Bull’s junior racing team. It was this signing that allowed Daniel to progress
to race in major events including; British Formula Three Championships, Formula
Renault 3.5 Series and the Red Bull Young Driver Test. It was in these events as well
as his test driving for Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso where Ricciardo
really made an impression and signalled that he would be a star of the future.
In his debut season with STR Daniel has marked himself as a future superstar of Formula
1 with multiple top 10 qualifying performances and Formula 1 points in multiple races.
It was then announced that Ricciardo would become a full time driver for the high
profile team Scuderia Toro Rosso for the 2012 & 2013 season where he qualified for
points 12 times.
In September 2013, Infiniti Red Bull Racing announced they had signed Daniel to
a multi year contract. From the 2014 season Daniel will take over Mark Webber’s
position and partner Sebastian Vettel in the Infiniti Red Bull Racing #2. Daniel
Ricciardo has the commitment, talent and self-belief to become a major talent in
Formula 1.

JAMES MAGNUSSEN
He is only 22 years old but international swimming sensation James Magnussen has
already stamped himself as one of the most high profile and talented athletes on
the world stage.
James is the current World Champion in the 100m Freestyle and at the recent
London 2012 Olympic Games went within 0.01 seconds in becoming Australia’s first
Gold Medallist in this event since Michael Wenden in 1968. Overall James returned
home with a Silver and a Bronze medal. At the 2013 FINA World Championships in
Barcelona, James become only the 4th man in history to win back to back World
Championship gold medals.
James Magnussen is Australia’s best swimming talent since Thorpe, Hackett and
Perkins. He has the ability, the drive and the self-belief to be one of our greatest
athletes. The sky is the limit for the man they call The Missile.
SALLY FITZGIBBONS
When Sally was just 14 years of age she burst onto the international surfing scene
becoming the youngest surfer to win a ASP Pro Junior (Under 21’s) event. Since then
she has continuously set records and created an extensive list of accomplishments.
2008 saw Sally become the youngest World Surfing Tour qualifier in ASP history,
wrapping up the World Qualifying Series in a record 5 events. She went on to finish
5th on the World Surfing Tour in her rookie year.
In April 2011 Sally won her first ASP World Tour event at the Rip Curl Pro at Bells
Beach, she rang the Bell and announced her arrival as genuine world title contender.
A week later Sally went back-to-back, winning her second ASP World Tour event.
Now at 23 years of age Sally Fitgibbons has finished top 3 in the ASP World Tour
for the last 4 consecutive years, she’s become the first person to hold the US and
Australian Open titles at the same time and has won multiple ASP World Surfing
awards, voted by both judges and her follow surfing peers. Sally set herself the goal
to send a message that she was going to be ready for 2014. With a win at the Roxy
Pro in France, and a runner-up in Portugal, Sally finished third in the world, with the
highest average heat scores for the year, and did exactly what she wanted to.

CHRISTIAN SPRENGER
Christian burst onto the Australian Swimming Team in 2006 when he qualified for
the Melbourne Commonwealth Games. Focusing on the 50m and 100m breaststroke
he has been the Australian, Commonwealth and World record holder. During the
London 2012 Olympics, Christian produced the second fastest 50m of his career
to claim the Silver medal. He was then selected to swim in the final of the 4x100m
Medley Relay in which Australia won bronze.
Of most recent, Christian produced a world class performance at the 2013 FINA World
Swimming Championships in Barcelona. Sprenger took gold in the 100m breastroke,
silver in the 50m breastroke and was also a part of the silver winning 4x100 medley
relay team.
LEISEL JONES - OAM
At the London 2012 Olympic Games Leisel became the first Australian swimmer
to attend four Olympic Games. Leisel is the greatest breaststroker of all time and
a popular swimmer on the world stage. Leisel’s professional career includes; 12
individual world records; 9 Olympic medals (3xGold; 5x Silver; 1x Bronze); 7 World
Championship titles; 10 Commonwealth Games medals.
STEVE HOOKER - OAM
Steve is an international track and field star and the Team Captain for the ‘Australian
Flame’ Track and Field team. During his illustrious career Steve has held every
major title including; Olympic Champion, World Indoor Champion, Commonwealth
Champion and Olympic record holder in the pole vault.

GEOFF HUEGILL
Geoff is a former World Record holder and Commonwealth Games Champion
swimmer and media personality . Geoff’s comeback to professional swimming has
engaged and inspired people from all walks of life.
MATTHEW MITCHAM - OAM
At the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Matthew performed the single greatest dive in
Olympic history to become the first Australian male to win an Olympic Gold medal
in diving since Dick Eve at the 1924 Olympics. Despite an interrupted preparation
due to injury Matthew performed strongly at the London Olympic Games. He is now
pursuing success on the World Cup circuit. Matthew is an outstanding media and
marketing talent as well as being an advocate and spokesperson for diversity and
equality.
GEORGE SMITH - AM
George Smith is without question one of the greatest players in the history of world
rugby. George played 110 test matches for Australia making him the most capped
Wallaby forward and the most capped flanker in the history of Rugby Union. He also
holds the world record as the youngest player to play 100 test matches at 29 years
and 4 days.
Following a stint at French club RC Toulon, George joined Japanese powerhouse
Suntory guiding the team to both major Japanese titles in season 2011/2012.
George is an outstanding ambassador for the sport of Rugby with his humble and
unassuming nature.

DANIELLE SCOTT
Awarded the FIS 2012 Rookie of the Year Award, 23 year old Danielle Scott is one of
Australia’s most promising young aerial skiers.
Unlike most aerial skiers, Danielle had a late start in the sport. However she has the skills
of someone who began skiing as a young child.
In her debut season on the FIS World Cup circuit, Scott continually surprised her coaches
with her strong work ethic and her consistency. Scott on numerous occasions produced
some outstanding performances and finished with top 10 results.
Scott is currently ranked 10th in the world and she beat some exceptional debutants to
be awarded the FIS World Cup Rookie of the Year.
Many believe Scott is one of Australia’s best chances at a gold medal at the 2014 Sochi
Winter Olympic Games.
BRITTENY COX
At only 19 years of age Britteny Cox is one of Australia’s most talented young mogul
skiers. Cox has signalled she will be a dominant force on the slopes for many years to
come.
In 2010 at only 15 years of age Britteny was the youngest competitor at the Vancouver
Winter Olympics. Competing in her debut Olympics, provided Cox with some invaluable
experience and Cox has since gone on to compete strongly on the international stage.
Competing at the 2012 World Cup in Deer Valley Utah, Britteny produced the
performance of her career to finish with her first podium finish on the international
stage. Cox finished off with a series of brilliant runs to place 3rd. This result makes Cox
the first Australian female to medal at a World Cup mogul’s event.
Britteny has continually displayed a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed on the
world stage. Her focus is now on the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, where many believe
she is a genuine contender for a medal.

LAUREN MITCHELL
Lauren Mitchell is Australia’s most successful female gymnast. She is Australia’s
first World Championship Gold Medallist and the reigning Commonwealth Games
Champion in multiple disciplines. At the London 2012 Olympic Games, Lauren
achieved the outstanding result of fifth in the floor final. She missed a bronze medal
by 0.06. Lauren is an outstanding role model for young Australians due to her hard
work ethic and healthy lifestyle.
MO’ONIA GERRARD
Mo’onia is one of the world’s premier netballers. She is a key member of the
Australian Diamonds and Sydney Swifts netball teams and a former International
Player of the Year. At the 2011 World Netball Championships, Gerrard achieved her
50th International Test cap for Australia a tally that continues to grow. Mo’onia is a
passionate and tireless advocate for netball, sport and a healthy lifestyle throughout
Australia and her native Pacific Islands.
KIMBERLEY RAVAILLION
At just 20 years of age Kimberley Ravaillion is one of Australia’s most exciting and
promising talents in international netball. Picking up a professional contract with the
Queensland Firebirds and playing the prominent centre position with the Australian
Diamonds, she has clearly signalled that she will be a star of the future. With no signs
of slowing Kimberley has set her sights towards the 2014 Commonwealth Games in
Glasgow and the 2015 World Championships hosted by Sydney.

Mark Jones is at the forefront of a new generation of sports marketing and
