LOCATION & SETTING
The Cornaro Hotel is located in the heart
of ancient city of Split, at the entrance to
the most splendid imperial Diocletian’s
palace. It’s an ideal starting point for
city tours, visiting numerous museums,
attending urban cultural events or
recreation on park-mountain Marjan.

Cornaro Hotel is proud to announce the opening of new
facilities, with hotel entrance just a few steps away from
the grand Golden Gate of the renowned Diocletian’s
Palace. Built by the Romans, these gates with double doors are
famous for the fact that Emperor Diocletian walked through
them as he entered the Palace on the 1st of June 305.
During his reign, The Golden Gate could only be used by the
emperor and the members of his family.
