Bull Creek Primary School
From the Principal’s Desk
A short term of nine weeks but what a busy term !! Thank you to everyone for your
involvement and support.
Eagles Cup
The students acquitted themselves very well . Thank you to the parents who helped with the
coaching, umpiring and supporting. We hope to see you all again next year.
Thank you to Mr Tisdale and the other staff members who contributed to the success of this
interschool competition.
Winter Carnival
The upper school students spent Tuesday at Burrendah Primary competing against other
schools in football, hockey and netball. Congratulations to all those involved. Bull Creek is
a small school competing against much larger schools and achieving a second in both the
football and the hockey is a credit to the children and their coaches. Congratulations to our
netball teams who improved throughout the competition.
Jump Rope for Heart
Thank you to Frau Colgan for organising the Jump Rope for Heart jump off on Thursday, with the
school managing to raise a considerable amount for this charity. A very successful day incorporating
being physically active and having fun.
Picnic
The sun was shining, the air crisp, the music playing and the sweet dulcet tones of Mr Boyes !!! Thank
you Mrs Spence and her helpers for organising our school picnic. Lovely food and a great time.
Cow - Picasso
If you were at the school picnic you would have seen Bull Creek’s entry in the
Picasso Cow Competition. Congratulations to Ms Di Fonzo, Mrs Perna, Sheoak 6
and some of the six/seven students for our fantastic entry. It has taken considerable
planning, preparation and time. It was all worthwhile as the cow looks fabulous.
School of Instrumental Music
Our instrumental music students have been involved in various excursions to the School of
Instrumental Music where they have been performing with a different teacher and students from other
schools, a great opportunity for these students to showcase their skills.
Pre Service Teachers
I would like to wish our Pre Service Teachers our very best wishes for their future endeavours. We
have enjoyed having them in the school and they have all made a valuable contribution to the
children’s education. Thank you Miss Darlow, Mr Maley and Mr Nicholson.
Reports
The first semester reports will go home with the children on Friday please take the time to praise your
child for their efforts and encourage them to respond to any feedback the teachers have provided.
Holidays
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and enjoyable holiday.
Term three begins for the children on Tuesday 23 July 2013.
Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter.

A big thank you to everyone who helped to make Jump Rope
for Heart such a success. I will let you how

FACTION & INTERSCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY
All students from Years One to Seven are welcome to
participate in the “before school” cross country training
sessions. The training will be held on Wednesday and
Thursday on the school oval starting at 8.15am. Please ensure
your child has a spare pair of socks and a water bottle.
Students who have other commitments, for example, choir
are not required to attend on Wednesday. Training sessions
will continue until the Faction Cross Country Carnival which
will be held on 31st July. We will continue, due to popular
demand, the parents and teachers event which will be the last
event before presentations. After the carnival the top 10
competitors from Years four to seven (5 boys and 5 girls) will
be encouraged to continue the “before
school” training until the Interschool
Cross Country Carnival on the 20th
August.
Prizes will probably arrive in Term 3.
