A new classification system came into effect recently and ranges Hotels from 1* to 5* categories, which explains
why 16 000 rooms remain not classified.

Youth accommodation represents a total of 6 000 beds in Paris, available from 24.30€.
Let’s mention:
The Cité Internationale Universitaire is easily accessible with the Tramway line T3
(10 minutes by tramway T3 from the congress center).
The Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris - located on a wooded park of 34 hectares in Southern Paris (MontparnasseAlésia) and represents the largest concentration of residence halls in the whole region: 5 600 beds in 38 residences.
The CISPs - for ‘Centres Internationaux de Séjours de Paris‘- Kellerman and Maurice-Ravel, provide
600 beds in the students areas of Paris (Gare d’Austerlitz - BNF/Gare de Lyon-Bercy).
FIAP Jean Monnet offers 200 rooms and 22 meeting rooms (Montparnasse).
The St Christopher’s Inn Paris is a youth hostel featuring almost 300 beds on a peaceful canal, in the
up and coming 19th district.
CHARTER for the hosting
of major professional events
To attract major congresses, the Paris City Council, the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Paris Convention
and Visitors Bureau, through its Convention Bureau and the tourism professionals that it brings together, have put in place
a global policy facilitating the organization of major events and increasing the attractiveness of the destination.
This global strategy agreed on by all of the operators, above and beyond their respective strategies, has led to the
elaboration of a charter for the hosting of professional events, signed by the 15 hotel groups representing more than
470 hotels all categories taken together (i.e. more than 60,000 guest rooms), the Paris City Council, the Paris Chamber of
Commerce and Industry, and the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Objectives of the charter:
Establish an attractive “destination policy”;
Provide an adapted response to the requirements of major professional events’ organizers;
Maintain the attractiveness of Paris in the strategic activity of association congresses;
Guarantee a long-term economic activity for the destination.

The Local Organizing Committee has selected the assistance
of MCI France as the PCO for the organization of the congress
in 2019.
MCI France is part of the MCI Group, the world leading PCO

of congresses, conferences, seminars and similar events.
