EKIZ was founded by Mr. H. Husnu EKIZ in Izmir, the biggest port city of the Aegean coast
of Turkey and also the heart of the olive oil production and export.
The company has been run by EKIZ family for three generations since 1946. EKIZ is
presently owned by Ekiz Family and has five shareholders all which are all individuals.

Fatty Acid Processing Plant - Informations
•
There is an increasing demand to this product but only very limited
supply in the world.
•
Ekiz’s Plant is equipped with latest technology and designed and
controlled by Italian consultants who are professional in this field.
•
Today Ekiz’s squalene production capacity is 200mtons per year. Ekiz
will start doing a capacity increase construction having estimated
complition time by mid March 2011. After this, the production capacity
will increase to around 320mton/year.
•
In near future, Ekiz will start processing some other products obtained
from some other vegetable oil’s fatty acids at these plants.
•
Other products available are; Olive Oil Wax, Sunflower Oil Wax,
Industrial Oil (only for local market).

Squalene is an unsaturated hydrocarbon made up of carbon and hydrogen (C30H50).
It can be obtained from two major source. Vegetable Squalene from Olive Oil Fatty
acid and Marine Squalene from the Livers of the Deep Sea Sharks.
