FREE July 17 - Aug. 28 Sun 2 pm - 7 pm weekly programme: zva.be Rivierenhof, at the castle 5 HET LABYRINT © David Suls TIMECIRCUS & MADAM FORTUNA Wonderland TIMECIRCUS has built a labyrinth in the middle of the city. HET LABYRINT is based on a rubbish dump. Discarded objects like furniture, wrecked cars, plastic bottles, Barbie dolls and microwave ovens form the building blocks of HET LABYRINT. A pile of unused and used up things are recycled into an enormous labyrinth full of wonders. You can get lost in the labyrinth for free during the day. In the evening MADAM FORTUNA performs HET LABYRINT VAN DR. ADAMS in the labyrinth. You can find more information about this show on p. 12 on the other side of this brochure. You walk around HET LABYRINT in open air. Be sure to dress warmly or bring a raincoat if necessary. In collaboration with Het Oude Badhuis. FREE July 1 - 17 Wed - Sun Non-stop from 2 pm - 6 pm Sint Jansplein 7 MULTITUD © Rafael Arenas TAMARA CUBAS 60 dancers in Den Bell MULTITUD is a powerful dance performance that takes your breath away. Sixty performers attract and repel each other. They become entwined or run away from each other. It is a dance full of emotion: sometimes grand and elusive, other times intimate and recognisable, but always direct and in your face. TAMARA CUBAS travels around the world with MULTITUD and selects local performers for the shows. This time she chose 60 people who live in and around Antwerp. They all have a different background and are different ages. These dancers become a very tight-knit group. Their connection with others is dissected and elucidated in every possible way. You witness the power and wilfulness of the dancers from nearby. MULTITUD takes place outdoors. Don’t forget to bring a warm sweater or raincoat if the weather requires it. July 13 - 24 Wed - Sun 8:30 pm duration ±75 min. FREE Den Bell via Boudewijnsstraat 9 WE DOEN HET WEL ZELF © Anke Teunissen WUNDERBAUM A hilarious road show WE DOEN HET WEL ZELF is spectacular music theatre about the end of the welfare state and the rise of the participation society. The government slowly withdraws as a caretaker and leaves more and more up to its citizens; they must do things themselves. Offering asylum seekers shelter. Helping the police to keep an eye on things. Playing games and pouring coffee in a home for the elderly. We choose what we want to do and can do. We expect less and less from the government. WE DOEN HET WEL ZELF is a slightly chaotic and very hilarious show full of live music in which you determine the order of the scenes. For this show, WUNDERBAUM looked for Antwerp residents who do things themselves. They are given a spot on stage. This is an open-air show. You watch the spectacle while sitting on bleachers. The show is not suitable for small children. Bring a raincoat or warm sweater if the weather requires it. AUGUST 17 - 28 Wed - Sun 8 pm duration ±100 min.
