MACHINING CENTERS BA 321 | BA 322 | BA 341 | BA 342 FOR WORKPIECES WITH 300X500(450)X375 MM 150X500(450)X375 MM architecture architecture PERFECT PERFORMANCE The BA 3 monobloc designed as a stiff ’cube’ (QUBE) carries the 3-axis unit equipped with max. 4 spindles. The horizontal spindle arrangement provides for optimum chip flow and best view to the machining area. The tools are exchanged on the operator station. The BA 3 series provides higher dynamics and speeds for reduced non productive times and considerable higher productivity. ® architecture The double swivel carrier (DDRUM) of BA 322 and BA 342 with workpiece carriers clamped on both ends, along with direct measuring systems in all axes ensures reliable processes. Synchronous motor spindles with accelerations < 1.0 s are state of the art. The hydraulic equipment is significantly above average. FACTS BA 3 • • • • • • • Machine bed as a monobloc patented by SW 3-axis unit as a box-in-box design (nodular iron) Gantry drive in the Y-axis Self-sustaining, pneumatic counterbalance Direct drive in the rotary axes Central cooling unit Automatic central lubrication • Up to 2 x 8 hydraulic lines and 2 x 5 pneumatic lines • Clamping pressure up to 250 bar • Planetary table with 2 / 4 satellites (torque motor) • Extension of magazine capacity to 80 pockets • SW broken tool detection system (< 0.15 s) • Power recovery for less energy consumption • Energy saving programs (’Stand-by’ and ’Sleep’) Comes as a single- or twin-table machine with two or four spindles. Optionally available as a 4- or 5-axis machine for complete workpiece machining. Even the 4-satellite planetary table is now equipped with 4 autonomous torque motors for increased accuracy.
