PERFECT PERFORMANCE
The BA 3 monobloc designed as a stiff
’cube’ (QUBE) carries the 3-axis unit equipped with
max. 4 spindles. The horizontal spindle arrangement provides for optimum chip flow and best view
to the machining area. The tools are exchanged on
the operator station. The BA 3 series provides
higher dynamics and speeds for reduced non productive times and considerable higher productivity.
®
architecture The double swivel carrier (DDRUM) of BA
322 and BA 342 with workpiece carriers clamped on
both ends, along with direct measuring systems in all
axes ensures reliable processes. Synchronous motor
spindles with accelerations < 1.0 s are state of the art.
The hydraulic equipment is significantly above average.

• Up to 2 x 8 hydraulic lines and
2 x 5 pneumatic lines
• Clamping pressure up to 250 bar
• Planetary table with 2 / 4 satellites
(torque motor)
• Extension of magazine capacity to 80 pockets
• SW broken tool detection system (< 0.15 s)
• Power recovery for less energy consumption
• Energy saving programs (’Stand-by’ and ’Sleep’)
Comes as a single- or twin-table machine with
two or four spindles. Optionally available as a 4- or
5-axis machine for complete workpiece machining.
Even the 4-satellite planetary table is now equipped
with 4 autonomous torque motors for increased
accuracy. From small series to high-volume
production. Advanced, but proven, high-level technology. For complex workpieces made of different
materials. Modular clamping fixtures designed and
manufactured by SW, stiff and reliable.
Productivity. Machining processes defined by
ex-perienced project engineers provide for optimum quality and cycle times for lowest cost-perpart and long-term quality results achievable in
your pro-duction. As a stand-alone machine or as
a turn-key facility, including automation and other
processes. In our technology centre we test and
optimize established and try out new techniques.
No matter whether it is about new tools, hardware
and software: we advance your cutting processes.

There are quite many who build machining centres.
But only a few take such intensive and successful
care of the entire technological demand of your
project like we do. The highest priority is given to
deliver the best economical and sustainable solution for your manufacturing task. Which machine
model ends up being the right one and how it
will be applied most effectively, depends on your
requirements for materials to be machined, quality
and production volumes.
