Colorful Creations presents the 9th annual Crop On The Cape Weekend
We are excited to announce the 9th annual Crop On The Cape at the Sea Crest Hotel from Thursday,
March 13th at 6:00 pm until Sunday, March 16th at 3:00 pm. That is 69 hours of cropping
fun as the crop area will be open 24 hours a day!
Cropping on the Cape Registrations are taken on a first come basis. It fills up
extremely fast, We ask you not to hesitate in sending in your registration or you
might miss out. Registrations must be received no later than February 29, 2008.

The Sea Crest Oceanfront Resort and Conference Center is located at 350 Quaker Road in
North Falmouth, Ma 02556. The website is www.seacrest-resort.com. Please call 1.800.225.3110 to make
a reservation. Remember to mention ‘The Crop On The Cape’ event to receive the discounted rate of
$87.00/night plus tax for a single or double occupancy. For triple occupancy please add $20.00 per room,
per night and quad occupancy 40.00 per room, per night plus tax. Based on availability, the Sea Crest will
honor the group rate of $72.00 per night plus tax on Thursday and Sunday nights.

Super Size your weekend! This extends your Scrapbooking weekend! See below for details.
Package A: Friday 8 AM-Sun3 PM $180 this Cape Cod special includes your reserved
cropping space from Friday 8 AM - Sunday 3 PM. This includes: a Welcome Dessert Friday night, Saturday
Breakfast Buffet, Saturday Buffet Dinner, Sunday Breakfast Buffet. A help yourself snack table will be
provided throughout the weekend and coffee will be out on Friday and Saturday night.
Package B: Fri-Sat only $135. includes your reserved cropping space from Friday 8 AM -Saturday
midnight. This includes: a Welcome Dessert Friday night, Saturday Breakfast buffet, and a Saturday buffet
Dinner. A help yourself snack table will be provided throughout the weekend and coffee will be out on
Friday and Saturday night.
Package C: Sat-Sun only $145 includes your reserved cropping space from Saturday 7 AM-Sunday
3 PM. This includes: Saturday Breakfast Buffet, (If you arrive Friday night, you may come and register early
and pick up your breakfast ticket.) Saturday Buffet Dinner, Sunday Breakfast Buffet. A help yourself snack
table will be provided throughout the weekend and coffee will be out on Friday and Saturday night.
Super Size (Package A or B) Thursday 6PM-Sunday 3PM For an extra $25 dollars
you can come in on Thursday night at 6:00PM and start your Scrapbooking weekend. This
package also includes the breakfast buffet on Friday morning. + Everything included in package A or B. Be
sure to circle Super Size and you’re A or B package if you want this upgrade.
Cancellation Policy - A non-refundable $25 registration fee will be charged to
any refunds before December 15, 2007. 50% refund December 15, 2007 through
February 15, 2008. After February 15, 2008 no refunds.
Friday: If you can’t get away for Thursday night, the fun begins Friday. We will start at 8AM with
registration. Lunch will be on your own. Later that night, we will have a build your own sundae
break at 7 PM!
Saturday: In morning you will start off your day with a buffet breakfast. (7:30 AM -9:30AM)
You can go at your leisure, then come on back to the cropping room and get some pages done! Again,
Lunch will be on your own. We will be offering snacks at a table throughout the weekend if you get the
munchies! There will be a Buffet dinner served from 6 PM-8 PM, you can go at your leisure
during this time.
Sunday: We start with breakfast buffet (8 AM - 10:00 AM); once again you can go at your
leisure. Then, cropping until 3PM. More raffles, and the contest winners will be announced just before our
noon break.
While cropping your heart away, you can sign up for free time on one of the two accu-cut machines all
weekend long. We will once again have a computer lab for all your journaling needs.

Digital Photography 101: You got that digital camera and now you want to learn more about it. Co
Owner of JK Photography, Jennifer Simon will guide you in this class. She will give you the information and
tools you’ll need to take the picture you see in your head. We’ll discuss aperture and shutter speed, using
different ISO ratings, and how they all relate to each other. There will be some emphasis on composition
and the photographic rule of thirds. We’ll also talk about specific equipment available to help you take the
images you want to take. Digital SLRs are not required; a point-and-shoot camera owner will also benefit
from this class. Please bring your camera and its manual to this class, along with any specific questions you
have about photography. Cost: $15
Girlfriend Library Pocket Mini: Celebrate the special girlfriends in your life by creating this fantastic
little piece of memoribilia. Colorful Creations instructor Melissa Oliveira will walk you step by step through
the process of assembling this mini book using papers from My Mind’s Eye along with cardstock stickers and
library pockets from 7 Gypsies. In this class you will learn how to use materials that are readily available to
create the perfect specialized gift for any theme or occasion.You will want to recreate this project over and
over again! Besides the basic tool kit please bring red line / tacky tape, bone folder, 1/4” hole punch, black
journaling pen Cost: $20
Biggie Doodling Layouts: Nationally published “doodler” Melissa Oliveira is ready to inspire
you! Recently recognized with 4 projects in the best selling “Doodling for Papercrafters” idea book by
Leisure Arts, Melissa has more than a few inky tricks up her sleeves! Using templates from The Crafter’s
Workshop, she will shed light on how to take the plunge into the doodling craze. Through her easy going
teaching style and approach to scrapbooking, she will take the stress out of putting your pen to the
cardstock to create a fun and funky doodled layout. The only requirement for this class is that you come
with an open mind, ready to let go and let the doodles flow! Besides the basic tool kit please bring a variety
of black pens, a white gel pen (melissa recommends the signo uniball) and foam tape or pop dots. Cost: $15
Fantastically Folded Mini Book: Join Colorful Creations instructor, Jenn Shurkus in making a
handmade mini book to fill with your favorite pictures! She will show you how to create a uniquely folded
book out of just a few of our favorite Tres Jolie pattern papers! This is a great gift to give someone. Once
you learn how to make this book, you will want to make LOTS! The finished size of the mini book is
approx. 6x6, so this is a great brag book that you can mailto grandparents! class kit: we ask that you bring
your eyelet tools or Crop-a-Dile, a bone folder or stylus and a strong dry adhesive (Kokuyo Tape Runner
or permenant Hermafix works well) Cost: $20

Celebrate Life: Join Angela from The Button Farm in this wonderful class. Life is worth celebrating
and we will be creating the perfect home for life’s memories in a gorgeous 6 x 9 album. We will be
decorating this album with papers in rich chocolates, bold oranges and blues from We R Memory
Keepers as well as coordinating punchout tags, stickers and elevated chipboard words and tags. They
say that one man’s trash is anothers treasure, and that is so with this album! For homework you
will alter the albums protective cardboard element into a fun keepsake box for all of your treasures!
Besides the basic tool kit please also bring brown ink/distress pad, paper piercer or hole punch. Strong
adhesive is recommended for this class. Cost: $38
Genuine You: Join Angela from The Button Farm Capture the photos and memories of a special
person in this adorable 6 x 6 chipboard binder album. We will decorate this projects chipboard pages
with papers, tags, lace sticker ribbon and elevated chipboard shapes and words from the Wild Saffron
line from K & Company. These papers feature warm browns, reds and yellows and will compliment any
photos. This fun album also has a fun pocket in the back to hold tags full of journaling and memories
of that person who is Geniune to you! Besides the basic tool kit please also bring a paper piercer, hole
punch or Crop--dile, strong adhesive, brown distress ink. Cost: $38
Clearly You Are: Join Jenn Shurkus, Colorful Creations’ very own A Muse instructor in creating this
unique clear book. focusing on clever ways to use Hambly transparencies, rub-ons and A Muse clear
stamps, we will create a mini book that will showcase the special things about yourself or someone
close to you. Come prepared to learn a few *clearly* enlightening techniques while you complete an
amazing piece of art. Besides the basic tool kit please also bring an acrylic block, brown stazon ink, mini
glue dots, paper piercer, permanent journaling pen Cost: $25
Basic Tools you should bring to each class: paper trimmer, fine point scissors, tape
runner, and glue stick.
contests:
Page Contest: We will take originals this year. Please submit them no later than Saturday by
2PM in a plastic page protector. Remember we will not be responsible if damaged or lost. We are
scrapbookers and will treat them like our own. The theme this year is inspired by Ali Edwards. We want
you to be a life artist , where you capture the everyday. This layout doesn’t have to be about a holiday or
significant event, it can just be about something as simple as what you had for breakfast.
Photo Contest: The theme this year will be “capture life”. Think about the everyday events. They must
be 5x7 or 8x10, anything smaller will not be accepted. You can mat them if you’d like, but you don’t need
to. Please submit them no later than Saturday by 2pm.

We are pleased to welcome back You Name It custom imprinting for your scrapbooks. These
ladies can add lettering and images to most albums. Be sure to bring your albums (or at least your
covers) and check it out!
New this year is The Button Farm. Owner, Angela Moen creates amazing kits and classes that
are the best we have seen! Angela has been published over 50 times in many books and magazines
(including Creating Keepsakes and Memory Makers). We are super excited that she will be teaching
classes and selling her kits at Crop On The Cape.
Diane Almonte, Creative Memories consultant, will again be set up and taking care of all
your Creative Memories needs. Diane always brings a large stock of albums, tools, adhesives and other
CM goodies.
Colorful Creations will have a larger, well equipped store open on the premises for your shopping
pleasure. The store in Hyannis will also be open during the crop.
We know how tiring it can be to scrap for 69 hours so we invited 2 massage therapists from
Massage Away in Osterville, Ma. Take some time to relax your muscles with Louisa or Kristen.
We are sure you have heard all the buzz about the Creative Cafe Art Bar. Our art bar will be set
up with top shelf creations ready for the making. Be sure to stop by and create some fun!

imagined!
