AquaFlora Nurseries & Micropropagation is a
wholesale aquarium plant nursery located in the
Fraser Valley of British Columbia, Canada.
We produce all the plants we sell on site.
Our plants are all grown submersed, resulting in
no foliage loss during acclimation to customers’
aquaria. Virtually all our competitors grow their
plants hydroponically in greenhouses, and their
plants will often ‘melt’ and rot after several
days underwater.
In our 5,000 square foot facility, we create
thousands of healthy, beautiful, pest-free
plants.

Micropropagation
Tiny cuttings, called explants, are removed from donor plants and
systematically treated to remove all microorganisms.
The result is 100% sterile plant material from which we generate
superior quality plants for sale. Each explant is placed into nutrient
media, which promotes rapid growth and division. After several
weeks of growth, we transfer these new plants into water tanks to
simulate standard aquarium conditions.
The several advantages of micropropagation:

Plants are completely free of disease-causing bacteria and
fungi, as well as snails, nematodes, and other pests, ensuring
the highest standards of health.

Uniformity of plant size and quality is assured.

All species of plants are available year round.

Using micropropagation, we produce a wide range of
species, and so none of our plants are wild-collected.

Ordering
We’ve made ordering as easy as possible. Due to our wholesale
nature, we sell boxes of 50 pots, so when placing an order, please
either have multiples of 50 or we can fill the remaining space with
a selection of plants. Orders can be placed online, by phone, or by
fax. Our online system has realtime, up-to-the second inventory,
whereas phone and fax will have a limited amount of delay.

All orders receive free shipping and
handling - no extra charges are applied at
all, with the exception of GST. We include
the shipping in our price because it saves
you from trying to locate the best deal
and carrier. It also protects you from price
swings in carrier rates.
We guarantee that our plants arrive alive
and disease-free. We package and ship on
the same day, and use next day and second
day services for delivery. Cardboard
protected, recyclable and reusable
Styrofoam boxes ensure our plants
arrive in perfect condition.
If there is a problem, simply call us within
24 hours of receiving the plants. If they
aren’t in perfect condition, we will either
replace or credit back the full amount of
the damaged plants (i.e. if 4 pots that cost
$2.50 each are damaged, you will receive
$10). We may require digital photos to
verify damage.
