Plenty Wind Estate
Plenty Wind comprises of 2 main properties set amongst
prime tropical headland and landscaped gardens. The main
house is surrounded on all sides by shaded verandahs, with a
large open plan living area and well equipped Kitchen which
can be opened wide to the sea breeze and lovely view. The
main house connects to the master bedroom cottage via a
garden path cut from local Hope Estate stone. The guest
cottage is located up the hill from the main house and sleeps
4, each bedroom has its own private exterior walled garden.
There are plenty of exterior dining areas, a gazebo at Hope
Point with stunning views, courtyards and a magnificent
bespoke infinity pool.
Beautifully positioned overlooking Hope Bay and set in near
10 acres of exclusive woodland estate. The indigenous forest
sweeping around the property provides a secluded aspect with
an almost unique access to the idyllic Hope Bay Beach
beneath.
The villas, designed by the renowned international architect
Jack Beyer of New York firm Beyer Blinder Belle, stand out on
the island as magnificent examples, combining natural
equatorial materials and building methods with a combination
of sophisticated international design and classic West Indian
style. The houses have been built using a combination of local
stone cut from Hope Estate, Brazilian hardwoods and Brazilian
kiln dried Ipe.
A large water tank facility means water shortage is not an
issue, and there is also a small staff house located in the
grounds. Vehicle access is available via the private Hope
Estate Road.
There is also additional land on the point available from Hope
Estate, to the North and North East of Plenty Wind.
The Main House
The central open plan living area, paved with antique Spanish
terracotta, finished in local stone and Brazilian hardwoods has
a high paneled ceiling and wide louvered wooden sliding doors
offering panoramic views to Mustique and the uninhabited
islands of Baliceaux and Battowia. All the walls are made from
stone cut from the Hope Estate and all the rafters, studs,
louvres and windows are engineered and fabricated in Brazil
from kiln dried ipe.
The main open plan living space offers access to a variety of
outdoor dinning areas… There is a wooden deck, which seems
to float above the sea, for dining under the stars while
listening to the waves roll into hope beach. On the front side
of the house there is a stone patio dining area overlooking a
lush terraced garden of tropical plants rising up the hill along
side the fountain and pool. This beautiful area attracts
Hummingbirds and Bananaquits by the fragrance of the
tropical flowers and cool refreshing sound of the fountain.
The separate master bedroom cottage, reached by a short
stone path through tropical gardens, sleeps 2 and boasts an
antiquated hardwood four-poster bed and Brazilian kiln dried
Ipe flooring. The interior bath has two sinks, custom hand
painted tile counter and marble floor. The bedroom opens on
the ocean side to a wooden deck, wonderful for sleeping under
the tropical night skies or relaxing in the shade of the
verandah roof, and on the other side to a private sumptuous
walled garden overhung with flowering tropical vines and an
antique French porcelain bathtub with claw and ball feet
standing on the local rounded pebble floor. The opportunity to
take a deep, relaxing bath under the star studded Bequian sky
is another fantastic feature of this stunning property.
As you enter the cottage hallway there is a separate room on
the ocean side which can be used as a dressing room, artists
studio, or guest room for a visiting child or single guest.
The architect designed space uses the elevated position, high
ceilings, wrap around verandahs and local trade winds to
naturally air-condition the living and sleeping spaces.

Yellow Heart. The kitchen and vanity cabinets in the guest

The guest cottage has unique private cobble courtyards for
each bedroom, with outside showers. These add to the natural
atmosphere of the property and are a very appealing feature
for guests
The rooms have been beautifully designed using local and
renewable materials all having tall, paneled ceilings, wide
expansive windows and flooring that is cool to the touch. The
exterior floor has been finished in new French terracotta tiles.

fruits and nuts that perfume the warm trade winds encouraging
restful sleep and relaxation.
At Hope Point, located within the Plenty Wind Estate, there is a
hardwood gazebo which, perched high on the cliff face, offers a
perfect reflection point with outstanding views over the remote
beach of Anse La Coite, Marley Bay, Ocean Ridge and Park
estates, and across the Caribbean Sea to the dramatic
windward islands of Battowia and Balliceaux as well as views to
the southern shores of the island of Saint Vincent and over its
wind sculpted hills and distant high mountain peaks. From this
perch one might spot an ancient iguana climbing a distant
cactus as Frigate / Man-O-War birds soar and circle at eye level
in the sea breeze.

Infinity Pool & Sundeck
Plenty Wind has one of the most dramatic, natural and
stylish of infinity pools on the island.
The 20,000 gallon bespoke, crescent shaped pool is
finished in local stone cut from the headland and
overlooks the beautiful Hope Bay beneath with
uninterrupted views over to the islands of Mustique,
Baliceuax and Battowia. Mature palms offer shade
whilst stretches of renewable hardwood cool decking
surround the pool area.
A stunning flower covered gazebo provides shelter for
an outdoor pool side dining area.
The gardens of Plenty Wind Estate manage to naturally
combine a series of discrete stairways, mature tropical
landscaping and stunning seascapes giving the
impression of being amongst the canopy in a
rainforest. Encompassed in the tropical grounds is a
lovely vegetable and cutting garden.
The outdoor antique bath, the moonlit showers,
endless uninterrupted views and a fusion of natural
renewable materials make this estate a magical
development situated upon one of the islands prime
areas of headland.
The Secluded Golden Sands of Hope Beach
Plenty Wind Estate, situated on the Eastern side of the
island, enjoys the Windward cooling breezes whilst
overlooking Hope Bay Beach. The white crescent sandy
beach, 200m in length, is only accessible from the
water or along a single semi-paved hillside path
through aromatic white cedar and indigenous coconut
groves.
Due to its secluded position the beach remains very
quiet and peaceful. The warm turquoise waters feature
long lines of breakers from the Atlantic, a natural point
break ideal for body surfing and windsurfing. The
average sea water temperatures vary from 77F-82F
making this virtually private beach ideal for a variety
of watersports.
Natural coral reef lies off much of the coastline with
Bequia’s shores offering a variety of sealife for scuba
divers to enjoy. With several wrecks and shallow caves
accessible to advanced divers, the island of Bequia
offers a stunning and unspoilt location for lovers of the
sea.
