New Hotel to open in Lagos Nigeria - A new hotel – the Transcorp Hilton Lagos – is planned to open in Ikoyi in Lagos, Nigeria. Construction work for the new hotel will begin early next year. It will be a full service, 350-room hotel and will feature conference facilities, meeting rooms, a gym, spa and a swimming pool. India to ease visa regulations - The Indian Tourism Ministry has moved to ease visa applications for visitors to the country, improve access and thereby boost foreign tourist arrivals. Australian Visas - SA passport holders applying for Australian visas no longer require a visa affixed in their passport when travelling to Australia. The ‘label free’ measure was implemented in November last year. All visa information for travelers entering Australia is now stored electronically and is accessed by airlines flying to Australia when passenger’s passports are swiped at check-in. Special Fares with SA Express - The airline has announced 3 additional new services effective 01 November 2013 between: Johannesburg–Pietermaritzburg, Johannesburg – Nelspruit and Cape Town – George. As a celebration, introductory fares from R300 excluding taxes will be implemented. TRAVEL QUOTES & BOOKINGS - With immediate affect airlines are charging agents for duplicate bookings made for the same traveler in the system. To avoid penalties and cancellation charges from the airlines, please note that consultants can no longer hold bookings and need to be notified of the option the traveler prefers, the same day as quoting in order for the consultant to cancel the other options being held. Should you not notify your consultant within the same day of quoting of the preferred option, the airline will automatically cancel all bookings being held for the same traveler and they will charge penalty / cancellation fees.
