WALL CONNECTION As you can see in the picture below, the BIA System walls can be moved over the wall beading. The long sides of the system wall, which are moved over the wall beadings, have to be equipped with assembling glue (for permanent installation). 6 RE-USING THE PANELS If the wall is only placed temporarily, an S-OBI can be used. By folding this plate, they fit easily in open spaces of the BIA Panel. This s-obi can be montaged to the floor and ceiling. If the wall is placed temporarily, S-clips can be used rather than glue in order to connect the panels interdependently. These are moved on the top side of the card board. During disassembly there is little to no demolition waste and the panels can be re-used. 7 PERMANENT INSTALLATION For permanent installation the panels can be glued to one another with Conlit-Fix® (Spanell glue). This needs to be applied on the inner side of the plasterboard that is sticking out. The glue is fire-resistant. T-CONNECTION To create a so-called “T-connection”, i.e. a wall perpendicular to another Spanell wall, an MDF assembly beading is attached on the already installed wall and the floor over which the bia system wall can be placed. 8 CORNER CONNECTION “PREFAB” The prefab corner connections are composed factory-wise, so that the continuity of building in practice is safeguarded without too many modifications and there is a possibility to gain significant time advantage. 9 WINDOW-FRAMES AND DOOR-FRAMES For the assemblance of doors and windows an opening can be sawed in the already installed bia system wall. This opening can be sawed in any desired area. It is also possible to keep the openings during the building of the door-frames, especially for projects with relatively many doors, this saves m2 of material. Afterwards there needs to be installed a wooden profile (assembly beading) on the inside between the two outside panels, so that the system frames can clamp on the plate material. Finally, the door or window can be closed. Another possibility is to place the frames beforehand. The wall with Spanell panels can then be placed around this. PLUG-SOCKET WIRING The wiring can be placed anywhere. The space between the modulated card board is large enough to install the wiring. 10 WALL OUTLETS If the wiring has been placed, the holes can be drilled, the firm Attema has wall outlets which can be easily assembled in the walls. 11 TELESCOPIC ANTENNA There is a variety in lengths amongst the telescopic antennas, the plug-in arm (lengths of 600, 750 and 2200 mm) can be attached to the modulated card board of the wall. With the use of a ceiling grid attachment the antenna can be pinned to the upper wiring. Check our website for reference projects www.bia-systeemwanden.nl/referenties 12 This information applies to all types of Spanell system walls. Transport and storage: The Spanell panels are sealed in plastic foil on cardboard pallets and then transported per 22 or 30 panels per pallet. During transport the pallets may be piled up to an absolute maximum of 2 pallets. The Spanell panels are preferably delivered after the completion of the brickwork, pargeting, etc. The Spanell panels have to be shipped horizontally and in dry circumstances. During storage the Spanell panels should be kept in a dry environment, should be stored flat, horizontally, preferably on a pallet for support. During storage the Spanell panels may not be piled up. Processing conditions: The Spanell panels have to be kept away from water or any other form of liquid or humid environment at any time. If a change of humidity occurs, the plate will expand or shrink. Only certified and approved equipment should be used for sawing, cutting and drilling. Walls higher than 3400 mm are built in “1/2 stone connection”. To a height of approximately 6 meters this can be done without additional consolidation/architectural measures. Attaching of objects: Light objects to a weight of 5 kg can be put up with nails and hooks. If wall plugs are used heavier objects to a weight of 30 kg can be put up in case of single-plated walls and for double-plated walls objects up to a weight of 50 kg can be put up. In case of heavier objects (i.e. heavier than 30 kg, respectively 50 kg) trapezium wood backing and consoles should be applied. Durability and maintenance: To guarantee durability the Spanell wall needs to be set up as has been previously specified. Maintenance and possible necessary repair has to be performed in a timely manner. Speaking from experience the maintenance of the walls has to be performed with traditional materials and products and in accordance with the processing prescriptions of the supplier 13 Delivery conditions: We strive for a continuous improvement of our products.
