In St Andrews itself there are seven golf courses and many others within easy reach, and the
town is just a few minutes’ walk away from the resort. Visit the British Golf Museum, the
aquarium, the Eden Estuary Nature Reserve, and St Andrews Botanic Garden – a must visit for
garden lovers – or walk a section of the Fife Coastal Path.

DAY 3
Relax at breakfast before checking out of the Old Course Hotel, then travel north (via A90) to
THE MARCLIFFE HOTEL AND SPA where you will stay for three nights. The journey is 80 miles.
You’ll find the friendly Marcliffe Hotel a restful and ultra-elegant Scottish country hotel
situated on the outskirts of Aberdeen, ideal for exploring the Grampian Region and Royal
Deeside. Many VIPs have stayed here from rock and golf stars to world statesmen and royalty.
EXPERIENCE OPTION 1 (Ref MH1) – Aberdeenshire private helicopter flight
This Aberdeenshire Experience helicopter flight takes in some of the magnificent local
scenery. The tour lasts around 30 minutes and flights will be in either a Robinson 444 or Bell
206 Series helicopter The cost is £130 per person for a 30 minute flight with

EXPERIENCE OPTION Ref MH2 – Salmon and/or sea trout fishing with
ghillie can be organized by the hotel.
Enjoy fishing with your own ghillie on one of 20 beats on the River Dee and River Don, to
include equipment and suitable attire. The cost is £25.00 per rod per half day and £50.00 per
rod per full day.
The Conservatory Restaurant, whether for a light lunch or a lingering dinner, has an extensive
menu with a choice of more than 400 wines. The Drawing Room bar stocks over 100 malt
whiskies.
DAY 4
All forms of country pursuits, including game shooting and stalking, can be arranged by the
hotel. Alternatively spend time in the hotel’s health and beauty spa with gym.

Visit local fishing and coastal villages, the ruins of Findlater Castle, Duff House and
magnificent Fyvie Castle in the comfort of your private chauffeur driven car.
DAY 5
North east Scotland is home to more than 70 golf courses, both links and inland; there are a
number of excellent fishing rivers as well as loch and trout fisheries and famous Balmoral
Castle is just 45 miles away.
EXPERIENCE OPTION Ref MH2 – Speyside distilleries tour.
Visit the home of Chivas Regal whisky (Strathisla Distillery) as well as Glen Grant, Speyside
Cooperage and Glenfiddich Distillery in the comfort of your private chauffeur driven car.
DAY 6
After a leisurely breakfast check out of The Marcliffe Hotel and Spa: the hotel is located just a
20 minute journey by road to Aberdeen Airport, and 10 minutes from the rail station.
