Before Basil started playing the guitar, he
spent much of his childhood building model
aeroplanes. When he was older, he came
across a cigar box in his family's attic and
started making his own Middle Eastern
instruments. In addition to cigar boxes, Basil
uses other recycled material too, like the
above aluminium tupperware banjo.
