Weeks Public Library Bulletin July 2006 Vol. 18, No. 7 Leonardo Da Vinci: A Chautauqua Performance Sponsored by the Friends of the Weeks Public Library Tuesday, July 18, 7pm Quite conceivably the most gifted genius of all time, Da Vinci comes to life through his art including the Mona Lisa, the Vitruvian Man, and The Last Supper, and through an examination of his inventions from hydraulics to flight. Paul Manning portrays Da Vinci in this living history program. Travel back to the Renaissance and catch something of the genius and creativity that created a brave new world practically from scratch. Sponsored by the Friends of the Weeks Public Library. Refreshments will be served. Just for Teens: Dance Dance Revolution! July Programs for Adults Knit and Purl Wednesday, July 12 and 26 at 7pm It’s the great dance challenge. Follow the blinking lights Come learn how to “knit in the round!” Join us for our featured project: Fabulous Felt and dance like a pro. Miss a step and you are done. Totes or bring a project in progress. Call for Beading Party a supply list. Help with crocheting also available. (PG(PG-13) Tuesday, July 25, 6pm Teen Summer Reading Program: Through August 11 The Teens Read Summer Reading Program is for Teens entering grades 7-12! Pick up Teens Read Cards beginning beginning June 5, 2006. Complete any row, horizontally, vertically or diagonally and receive a prize and also qualify for the Grand Prize Drawing and gift certificate drawings. Have the card stamped when you finish each activity box. Teens may begin turning in their completed cards and pick up their prize on July 14. Cards must be turned in by August 11.
