Execu�ve organiser Murator EXPO Sp. z o.o. – experienced organiser of fairs, exhibi�ons and conferences, based in Warsaw and one of the leading companies in the Polish exhibi�on industry. Subjects of the fair: • literature • fic�on • books for children and teenagers • science books • school and academic textbooks • science books for the general public • encyclopaedias, albums, dic�onaries, lexicons, atlases • guides and handbooks • art books • comic books • fantasy • newspapers and magazines • audio books • e-books • e-press • mul�media Target groups The Warsaw Book fair is aimed at professionals from Poland and abroad, including: • authors • publishers • printers • booksellers • librarians • those who promote books and write about them however, the main target group arę readers - both young and mature. . We will encourage readers from all around Poland - but especially people living in or near Warsaw - to visit the fair with their families, as with the diversified offer of the Warsaw Book Fair everyone will be able to find something sui�ng his/her taste. Tradi�on and modernity about Warsaw Book Fair 312 exhibitors took part the he first edi�on of Warsaw Book Fair Fair. During four days the fair was visited by nearly 28 000 guests and more than 270 journalists accredited to it. Announcements, reports and footages were published in main media. In the exhibitors’ stands and in the rooms of Palace of Culture and Science 225 authors were signing their books. There were held more than 300 different programme events: discussions, seminars, conferences, mee�ngs with authors, exhibi�ons, award ceremonies, trainings, presenta�ons and also mee�ngs for youth and children. It is our achieved output that is a great star�ng point for next edi�ons. The Warsaw Book Fair – shaped for the first �me by publishers – from the very first edi�on showed totally new face – innova�veness, professionalism and openness. The idea o�he Warsaw Book Fair brings new quality-substan�al impact of interested groups on the events programme. But more over the fair is to fulfil expecta�ons of readers. Next to tradi�onal mee�ngs with favourite authors we emphasised rich mee�ng programme dedicated to the future of books in the face of current technological changes, marke�ng workshops for the branch, literature and raising passion mee�ngs for youth and interac�ve fair games for children. In addi�on the fair is a great place to present exhibi�ons and announce results of pres�gious compe��ons. The Warsaw Book Fair is followed by fair on the web, for those who couldn’t make it to the Palace of Culture and Science. We are convinced that Warsaw Book Fair from the first edi�on is a great, effec�ve compe��on in the area of the biggest and the most important events on Polish publishing market. The fair is also ambi�ous to join the most important events on European scale. Outdoor • billboards - around 100 billboards in selected places in Warsaw, web of INFOSCEEN screens. • posters in ins�tu�ons connected with a book, culture and art and also flyer campaign. Radio and Television We emphasise intensive PR ac�vity, effec�ve supplying journalists with informa�on, without resigna�on of television and radio campaign. Next to co-opera�on with Polish Radio in radio campaign we use radio sta�ons from our group, which open a whole new possibili�es of reaching poten�al readers in different ages: Radio ESKA, ESKA Rock, VOX FM, WAWA. Branch Media Co-opera�on with the sec�on of branch media is a strong side of campaign of the Warsaw Book Fair. Reaching the branch sec�on we co-operate with: ksiazka.net.pl, Magazyn Literacki KSIĄŻKI, Biblioteka Analiz, Rynek-ksiazki.pl, Notes Wydawniczy, Wiadomości Księgarskie, Wydawca. Promo�on abroad Preparing the next edi�on of the event is largely focused on ensuring its interna�onal character. We are making efforts to streamline the a�endance Warsaw Book Fair in 2011 expanded by foreign partners. It is on our Fair they have a chance to meet representa�ves of the vast majority of known Polish publishers. We welcome to the co–opera�on of na�onal cultural centers, and through them to publishers. Warsaw Book Fair brand is ac�vely promo�ng abroad. We par�cipate in the Interna�onal Book Fair in Moscow and Frankfurt. We are also planning our presence at trade fairs in London and Leipzig.
