You are invited to join us in honor of Dean Fischer Executive Chairman, West Monroe Partners and Larry Suffredin Commissioner, Cook County and Forest Preserve District Board October 22, 2015 Generously presented by DEAN FISCHER Dean Fischer is the executive chairman of the Board of Directors of West Monroe Partners. Prior to co-founding West Monroe Partners in 2002, he spent 23 years with Arthur Andersen here in Chicago. Dean’s fascination with the natural world began at an early age, and over the years, he has integrated his love for the outdoors with his business skills. Dean has consulted for the National Park Service, as well as other public and private conservation entities. From 2006 to 2013, he served on the Board of Directors of the Student Conservation Association (SCA), and in 2014, he joined the boards of Audubon Chicago Region and Openlands. Dean’s firm has contributed thousands of hours of pro bono time to conservation and sustainability related projects for the Shedd Aquarium, the SCA, the City of Chicago’s solar initiatives, and Chicago Wilderness. LARRY SUFFREDIN Larry Suffredin is the Cook County Commissioner for the 13th District. He was elected in 2002 and re-elected in 2006, 2010, and 2014. As Commissioner, Suffredin is acting Chairman of two county comittees and serves on a variety of others, including the Roads and Bridges; Workforce, Job Development and Training; and Botanic Garden Committees. Suffredin is a lifelong resident of Chicagoland, and is a highly successful attorney with a legal career spanning nearly three decades. He has extensive state and federal trial experience, and has argued cases before the Supreme Court. Suffredin received his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University and his law degree from Georgetown University. He served as a Captain in the United States Air Force Reserves and received an Honorable Discharge.
