STUDIOLINE PHOTOGRAPHY – OUR BUSINESS MODERN, FLEXIBLE AND EXPERIENCED Founder Karl Prien 4 Hans-Detlev Prien Klaus-Peter Prien Carl Prien A FAMILY BUSINESS WITH OVER 100 YEARS’ EXPERIENCE NEW NAME, NEW FOCUS AND NEW TRENDS THE NUMBER 1 IN GERMANY FOR PORTRAIT AND STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY Karl Prien laid the foundation for STUDIOLINE PHOTOGRAPHY in 1910 in Kiel by creating the company Karl Prien, a combination of a chemist’s and specialised photography shop. His son Hans Detlev Prien expanded the Prien business in the 1950s to create Photo Prien. As well as managing the family business, he also founded one of the first photo colour laboratories in Germany (Kiel Color) and the Fotofachschule Kiel, a photography school, now the Photo & Medienforum, as well as the Business Academy in Kiel. Following his early death at age 57, his son Klaus-Peter Prien took over the business for the next 26 years. He expanded the business into a branch-based company under the brand Photo Prien in both Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, separated the perfume business from the photo business and successfully sold the laboratory business, with input from his brother Christian Prien, to Fujifilm. Due to the process of digitalisation in the mid-90s, a speciality photo store business is no longer viable or contemporary. The shoot experience and the beautiful end product, the photo, combine to create a photo shoot event in typical STUDIOLINE PHOTOGRAPHY Style. 6 FREE DECISION MAKING WITHOUT OBLIGATION • Each and every customer decides after the shoot whether they are happy with the result and whether they would like to purchase the photos. There is no obligation to purchase; our clients just need to invest 29 euros and 90 minutes of their time. FAIR, TRANSPARENT AND QUICK • Customers can either purchase individual photos and digital copies to take home straight away or good value photo packages with the full-resolution digital copies. The pricing structure is simple and openly communicated to our customers by way of examples. EXPERTISE, SERVICE AND INNOVATION • Our photographers are educated and trained to meet all challenges of the profession. They love and live photography as well as enjoy the contact with customers. We are always open to new experiences. And at the end of it all, you have a perfect picture that portrays the smiles and amazement on the faces of those photographed, a moment in life that is forever captured. People are able to see themselves how they have never seen themselves before, or just how they have always seen themselves and would like to see themselves. It is all down to the individual wishes of the customer. But the path to the photo is the greatest part. It is a genuine experience, a break from everyday life! At STUDIOLINE PHOTOGRAPHY, for around an hour or so, the customer is the absolute centre of attention. We want our customers to feel comfortable in our studios and particularly in front of the camera, to have 8 fun and to forget the world around them for just a little while. That is why the STUDIOLINE PHOTOGRAPHY photo shoot experience starts with a welcome drink in our cosy lounge area and make-up applied to suit the customer. The customer can determine the style of the photos according to his or her taste by choosing backgrounds and various accessories. The photographer and the customer turn into a perfect team during the shoot in order to achieve the perfect photo or a beautiful series of photos. PHOTOGRAPHY will support them with expertise and empathy to choose the most beautiful pictures, should they wish to purchase further photos. After all, most people will find themselves spoilt for choice with so many gorgeous photos to choose from. That is how STUDIOLINE PHOTOGRAPHY turns a photo shoot into an experience and captures moments for eternity. “I don’t have a photo for you today” – this sentence doesn’t exist at STUDIOLINE PHOTOGRAPHY. All our customers will receive at least one beautiful picture to take home after their shoot, as this is included in the basic package.
