Danbury Arena Hockey Camps will improve the skills of every player,
no matter what their ability or experience. We emphasize strong
skating skills as the foundation to everything that comes next:
shooting, stick handling and passing. We also focus on the most
important part of hockey, having fun!

HOCKEY CAMPS

Camp is in session from June 20 to August 26. Choose from single
weeks, multiple weeks, and half days. We can accommodate every
camper’s needs, busy schedule, and budget! With every option you
will develop your skills, have fun and create a memorable summer.

ARENA HOCKEY CAMPS
Choose your sessions
Played at Immaculate High School where he won a state championship and was All Conference
3 times and All State once as well as Captain of his team. Danny played Prep School at Procter Academy as well as
Division 3 Hockey at Salve Regina in New Port RI. Danny Allen finished his college career as a stand out forward
and Captain for Western Connecticut State University where he took his post playing career there working as a
coach’s assistant. Danny is currently the Head Coach of Jr Colonials Travel Pee Wee A team and teaches on many
of the arena’s clinics.
Hockey Development Camp
• For Beginner to Intermediate
• Primary focus is on skating
• Basics of stickhandling, shooting & passing
• Fun drills, games, and skill development

A Former EJHL and Hockey Night in Boston player and current Jr. Colonials Travel Coach.
Greg Haliskoe developed his playing skills here at Danbury Ice Arena playing for the Jr. Colonials and winning a state
championship at Immaculate High School where he is currently an assistant coach. Greg also won the New England
Prep Title At Kent’s Hill School.
Guest Coaches:
Brian Allen – A Vermont Academy athletic standout where he was 1st team All Lakes Region and captain of his
hockey team Junior and Senior year. Brian currently plays defense for the New Jersey Rockets in the Eastern
Hockey League. Brian returns for his 5th year of camps here at DIA.

Dangling and Stickhandling Camp
• Challenging drills designed to maximize
each student’s potential
After arriving by 8:30 a.m. for camp each day begins with 1 hour of power skating skills. Each day is progression
from the day before. Throughout the day each camper will receive a minimum of 2.5 hours of ice time per day and
a structured routine that includes off-ice training and multiple fun activities for each student to enjoy. This balanced,
multi-disciplined regimen results in over 35 hours of on and off ice training each week, and a better more well-rounded
hockey player.
• Fast paced drills designed to improve
conditioning and achieve maximum potential
Each week focuses on all of the skills necessary to develop a complete hockey player including: skating, stick
handling, shooting, and goalie development. We will have battle drills, positioning concepts and scrimmages
throughout the week. There will be checking drills for bantam aged players only. Report cards will be distributed
to each camper after their last activity for the week!
• Powerskating daily with & without pucks
Certified college, junior and youth coaches instruct all of our Danbury Arena Hockey Camps. We also provide
counselors to assist your camper throughout the day to make sure all your child’s needs are met. Our low
camper-to-staff ratio is the best you will find and our staff is dedicated to the growth and development of
each camper.
Explosive Power Camp
• Puck protection and 1-on-1 battles
• Intense & high tempo skating drills with & without pucks
• Improve balance and strength on skates
• Competitive, battle oriented drills with work on power puck moves and protection
• Learn to play in high traffic areas
Off-ice activities include:
• Plyometric training
• Aerobic exercise
• Strength and conditioning
• Team building games
• Soccer, and much more!
• In-depth drills to improve “Hockey IQ”
• Daily on ice battle drills and small area games
