The Regatta, a biennial event first run in 2000, has grown to now encompass over 16 classes including IRC, local handicap and one design classes and over 200 yachts offering some of the best racing on the South Coast. We are delighted to have again been awarded the IRC Southern Championship, and in 2016 we extend a very warm welcome to the MOCRA multihulls, VPRS and the J24s for their National Championships, and the 2.4mR for their Tidal Nationals. We have four race areas in the bay and one in-harbour course organised by an army of race officers and assistants to ensure the very best racing for all. On shore we have an extensive social programme of events for après race together with excellent facilities for visiting crews in the various Harbour marinas - this really is a regatta not to be missed. We are most grateful and indebted for the interest and support of our event sponsors and we are delighted to once again have International Paint, Haven Knox Johnson and Poole Harbour Commissioners as Sponsors to our event. We look forward to welcoming you all. Andrew Pearce Regatta President 2016 Our chosen charity for 2016 From our Sponsors Poole Regatta is fast becoming one of the most successful and well regarded regattas in England.
