OUR WEEK AT
The Zurich Classic
Thanks to our friends at the Fore!Kids Foundation, our participants had a
fun week filled with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities at this year’s Zurich
Classic! The week started off on Monday at the Morgan Stanley Executive
Women’s Day where three high-school aged First Tee participants were
selected to attend. The day of female empowerment and inspiration through
networking was a day that The First Tee participants will not soon forget!
On Tuesday, April 26th, 75 youth and teens participated in
the Children’s Hospital Junior Golf Clinic, which featured
LPGA Superstar Lexi Thompson, former LSU Tiger and
current PGA Tour professional Andrew Loupe, and current
LSU Tiger golfer, Brandon Pierce.
During Wednesday’s Pro Am tournament, participants had a
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to caddy for some of the PGA
TOUR’s brightest starts, including Jason Day, Rickie Fowler,
Smylie Kaufman and more. Three First Tee

LIFE SKILLS
EXPERIENCE
During the experience, the Junior Course Reporters
gained insight into what it’s like to cover a
professional golf event and posted entries to their
own blog, housed on PGA TOUR social media
pages. Students received media training from
Sportscaster Win McMurry and had the opportunity
to interact with golf media, PGA TOUR executives,
and participate in Q&A sessions with PGA TOUR
players.
Registration for our Fall programming
