President’s Message
2015 was yet another successful year for Alberta Schools Cricket Association, its
20th. We celebrated the 20th year of Alberta Schools Cricket Association (ASCA)
by organizing games between ASCA alumni and the current players. Edmonton
and District Cricket League graciously provided the Victoria Park cricket ground
for the games.

ASCA organized the Mayors Cup, an inter High School competition for the second time. It was a great success and we hope to continue organizing it in the
years to follow. We also continued with Ten/10 tournament between lower
schools . Combined Schools cricket team, which is sponsored by ASCA and is
part of the Edmonton and District Cricket League, bounced back to have a great
season where they enjoyed more wins than losses. Elites Cricket Club, also
sponsored by ASCA, performed great at Premier Division level in Edmonton winning the Howe Cup and T20 division finals. It is a proud moment for both ASCA
and the Elites Cricket Club because one of its members is currently representing
Canada at U19 World Cup in Bangladesh. This accomplishment should be a
source of motivation for rest of the juniors in Alberta.
It has been an honor to be a part of this organization since its foundation. Christy
and his team of coaches continue to do their great work with developing juniors at
the school level as well as improving the skills of developed players at the League
level.
