U.S. MISSIONS
U.S. Missions exists to provide ministry to those within the United
States and its territories. Since its inception, Evangel’s U.S. Missions
team has traveled to New Mexico, Alabama, New Jersey,
Connecticut, West Virginia, California and New Mexico.
U.S. Missions has partnered with the Youth ministry where we
traveled to New Mexico to minister to Native Americans. In the
aftermath of hurricane Katrina, a team was deployed to New Orleans
to help with their recovery effort and after the devastation of
Superstorm Sandy, a team was dispatched to New Jersey. We also
traveled to Connecticut where we provided life skills training and
ministry to a women’s transitional facility and assisted in conducting
Vacation Bible School. Thelma Carter our U.S. Missions leader,
recently led a team that traveled to Alabama. Plans are underway to
travel to West Virginia later this year. Throughout the year, barrels of
clothing and other items are sent to churches and ministries
throughout the U.S.
How You Can Help:
Pray: that lives will be touched through the ministry of U.S. Missions.
Volunteer: many volunteer opportunities are available. We would
love to have you travel with us or assist us in our preparation before
we travel.
Pledge: Your missions pledge helps to offset the expenses
associated with travel.
Goals:
Develop Understanding of the English
Language through the use of:
1. Grammar
2. Vocabulary
3. Reading and writing
4. And so much more!
