PierPump | Advantages
Simple, fast and effective: PierPump
More and more boats are operating environmentally friendly and are equipped with waste
water tanks. The PierPump is the most convenient solution removing waste water from
boats when arriving at a marina for a stopover or after a trip.
Simple operation
Waste and bilge water
Operation of the PierPump is fast and
convenient. After connecting the hose
to the boat‘s tank the pump can be
started. The PierPump is immediately
ready to run, no vacuum is needed.
Emptying a tank takes typically less
than 5 minutes.
The PierPump S 160 collects waste water
quickly, easily and effectively – even
if the water is contaminated with
dirt or foreign objects. The PierPump
SB 160 also allows cleaning of bilge
water from boats and yachts.
“Fast, clean, interference-free”
If we want to persuade water sports enthusiasts to use a waste water tank on
board, then suction equipment in the harbor must be of the best
quality, and provide fast, clean and interference-free operation.
After we installed a PierPump, the use of the waste water
station increased dramatically. With almost 600 berths,
the Wartena yacht marina now has environmental
equipment that fully satisfies our customers and
personnel. And, more importantly, the environment
also benefits.

PierPump | Technology
The heart of your waste water management system
The original
Vogelsang rotary
lobe pump
The high availability pump
Technology must be easy to use and
readily accesible. PierPumps are powered
by the original Vogelsang rotary lobe
pump – a positive displacement pump
specially designed to operate with
viscous and foreign body contaminated
liquids. The suction medium is directly
aspirated by the highly robust elastomer
coated rotating lobes and transported
into the sewer network.
High foreignbody resistant
2-wing lobes
The Vogelsang pumps are equipped with
robust two-wing lobes. Combined with a
special, extra large coating, they ensure
a maximum ball diameter and resistance
against foreign bodies such as t-shirts
and cutlery.
The VX design allows you to service all
wearing parts without de-installation of
the pump, keeping service times and costs
at a minimum.
Advantages rotary lobe pump:
• Insensitive to dry running
• Excellent self priming capabilities
• Changeable pumping direction
• 20 mm free ball passage • Maintenance friendly
