Thank you for your purchase!
Please read each step of this manual thoroughly to ensure proper installation of your new EasyClosets garage system.
These instructions assume that you are installing our standard units (unmodified heights and depths) in a garage with
drywall over standard wood frame construction (i.e. 2" x 4" or 2" x 6" framing). If any aspect of your installation does not
apply to these standard construction methods, contact Customer Service (800.910.0129). Installation into metal studs or
masonry walls will require additional hardware available from your local hardware store.
Our limited lifetime warranty* is based on following proper installation techniques. Installing your garage system in any
manner other than the steps outlined in this manual may lead to structural failure of the system.

INVENTORY MATERIAL PRIOR TO INSTALLATION!
A. CHECK YOUR INVENTORY BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION!
1. Check Boxes: Ensure that you have received all boxes in your
shipment. Each box is labeled with a company packing label. Note
each box as well as the total number of boxes in the shipment.
Example of packing label:
IMPORTANT: Checking all of your
inventory will ensure that you
have all the materials you need
before you start. It will help the
installation process run smoothly
and will help to prevent delays.
Example of complete parts list:
2. Compare Box Contents to Packing Label: Open each box and compare the contents against the itemized list
on the packing label.
3. Organize Material: Organize the material by size and part type.
4. Take an Inventory of the Contents: Take a full inventory. Use the complete parts list or “Order Summary,” as a
checklist. Once all material has been inventoried, if any pieces are damaged, missing or incorrect, please keep all
packing material and contact Customer Service (800.910.0129).
B. REMOVE OLD SHELVING
1. Remove any existing shelving or cabinets.
C. PREPARE WALLS
1. Spackle and Repaint: If desired, fill holes with spackling and repaint wall(s). As you fill in the holes, note these
locations, as they often mark the locations of the studs.
Have any questions? See back cover for contact information.

ATTACH LEGS TO BASE AND FULL CABINETS (OPTIONAL)
1. Assemble Legs: Using a mallet, or hammer and block, tap the
knock-in inserts into legs.
2. Attach Legs to Cabinet: With the long edge of the leg plate
perpendicular to the cabinet side, attach legs to the bottom of the
cabinet 2" from the front edge of the cabinet and 2" from the back
edge of the cabinet and just in front of the rear cam fittings using
#10 - 3/4" screws. The legs should extend under the cabinet panels
and be flush to the outside edges of the cabinet. (See Illustration 8.2)
3. Proceed to Step 6 on Page 9 After Installing Legs

recommended for lifting the cabinet onto the support cleat.
(See Illustration 9.5)
2. Locate and Mark Studs: The cabinets will be installed to
the wall by attaching them to the wood studs in the wall.
Locate the wood studs by using a stud finder. Verify the
stud locations by tapping a nail into the wall, if the nail goeseasily into the drywall, you are not hitting the wood
stud. After finding the wood studs, mark their locations
on the drywall. Wood studs are typically 16" apart from
center to center.
Illustration 9.5
3. Layout Cabinets: Layout your cabinet configuration to
accommodate for stud support. Ideally, each cabinet will
have two studs for support.
4. Install Wall Cleat: Level a cabinet support cleat with the
top of the cleat 6" up from the floor. Install the cabinet
support cleat to the wall by driving support cleat screws
through the pre-drilled cleat holes and into the wood
studs. If there is only one stud behind the cabinet support
cleat, screw into that stud, and use an included toggle/
toggle bolt to attach the cleat at a second point in the
farthest hole away from the wall stud. (See Illustration 9.4)

Overview: Slatwall is shipped in standard 48" x 15"
pieces unless you changed the sizes during the design
process. If your order includes slatwall, they may be cut to
size with any saw. Slatwall panels are installed by driving
2 1/2" slatwall screws through the slots into studs in the wall.
Slatwall screws have a white or gray head to match your
