IF YOU LOVE YOUR "BABY" DOG.
THEN FEED HIM THE FINEST DOG FOOD
IN THE WORLD
Dogs 35 pounds or under, need special care. These little mouths, small stomachs, short digestion tracts,
and high metabolism, require knowledge from both regular and holistic training.
Oriental dogs(Pekes, Shihtzu, Shiba mu, Lhasas, Pugs), Arctic dogs(Poms, American Eskimos), dogs
from England, Scotland and Ireland (Spaniels, Terriers, bird dogs) as well as water dogs, Poodles, Cotons,
and, Maltese, fit into this category. Mini schnauzers, and, Chihuahuas, are also included.
All these dogs were fed a fish-based diet, as well as the sea vegetation nutrients available in our Solid
Gold Sea Meal.
Our Solid Gold dry dog food called "Just a Wee Bit", for small mouths has free range bison, which are
not given any hormones, are not dehorned, not castrated and are fed free range healthy grass. Our salmon is not
farmed, since farmed salmon may contain Genetically Modified Corn. We use only wild, hook-and-line caught
salmon from Alaskan cold waters.
All of the above named breeds must be fed a fish-based dog food since this supports his genome (think
DHA)of the body. Otherwise the immunity enzyme or hormone systems of the body suffer. All Solid Gold Dog
Foods are fish-based.
Solid Gold never uses soybean (also known as lecithin), wheat, or corn, which causes allergies in dogs.
It causes them to chew at the root of the tail or lick their feet.
Solid Gold uses amaranth, millet, and barley. We do not use animal/poultry fats, which may be rancid.
We use the healthy flax/canola oils.
We never use sunflower oil, which the Swedish National Cancer Society warns may increase the risk of
cancer by 69%.
Solid Gold "Just a Wee Bit" contains 28% protein. No matter the age of the dog, the small dog's higher
metabolism does better with a higher protein food. Look for the pink hermetically/vacuumed sealed holographic
bag. It has a white Westie on the front. Wee Bit comes in a 4-pound or 15-pound bags, the kibble is small and
about 1/4 inch across. Introduce Wee Bits gradually with the old food.
Our treat for the "baby" dog is called Tiny Tots for the
little mouth. It is a soft lamb bone-shaped treat, great for training. It can easily
be broken into pieces. All dogs love Tiny Tots. They are in a one-pound bright orange
bag with a yellow sun. The bag is re-sealable. Most treats are only
it
44 4 ounces. Tiny Tots is a whole pound.
So, if you love your "baby" dog, feed
him Wee Bits. It is available at animal supply
stores, or directly from Solid Gold.
For larger dogs, use our Wolf King or Wolf
Cub. The formula is the same, only with
larger pieces and with less protein.
"Rash! 137 dry dog food brands were
recalled for killing over 5,500 dogs and
causing 300,000 to be come ill. Only
seven dry dog food brands were not
recalled. Solid Gold was one of the seven."
Solid Gold is the only dog food company
that is a member of the Organic Trade
Association, the American
07/PAP,tr4
Nutraceutical Association, the
_
Medicinal Food Association, and the
Nutraceutical Foods Association and

Special Thanks to Fran Strayer and Lots Apsos Specialtiesfor the wonderful Lhasa drawings.

This will be my first President's message and it must
begin with a great THANK YOU to those who have
served so ably in the past. Leslie Baumann has led this
organization for several years and her tenure has seen a
number of initiatives to benefit our breed. It is my hope
that I can serve the membership as well as she has in the
past. We must also thank Tom Worlton and Pat KeenFernandez for their services as well and hopefully they
will continue to stay involved in ALAC. And please
welcome two new board members, Bud Brockway and
Sherry Swanson. Bud is a seasoned veteran of the board,
having served in the past, and Sherry, as an exhibitor and
an AKC licensed judge, will bring a new vision to the
reigning officers and board of directors... .
For the past number of years we have seen the numbers
of breeders and exhibitors decrease in our breed. I believe that it is important that we promote the Lhasa Apso
to the general public and to willingly encourage and
accept new people into our fold, teaching and mentoring
them along the way, whether their interest be breeding,
performance, or simply owning this delightful breed
as an intelligent companion and best friend. In today's
technological world, the Internet is a source of unlimited
potential in promoting the Lhasa Apso, whether to impart
information on its acquisition or care, as well as to promote the American Lhasa Apso Club. I would like to see
ALAC expand on the potential offered by the Internet,
including upgrading the ALAC website.
It is important that the Officers and Board of Directors
received input from the membership as to the direction
that the club should take. Leslie Baumann established
ALAConline to get information to the membership in a
timely manner. I am hoping to develop an online list in
which the Board can receive direct input on matters of
importance regarding decisions before the board. In this
way,the Board can be kept abreast ofthe feelings of the
entire membership. Open communications can only be
of benefit to ALAC and to the breed as a whole.
I encourage everyone to contact myselfor any officer
or board member with any suggestions or concerns you
may have. Only with open communication can ALAC
grow and succeed in its endeavor to preserve and promote the Lhasa Apso.

October Board Meeting
ALAC Board Meeting
Houston,Texas
October 22, 2007
The meeting was called to order by President, Leslie
Baumann at 6:07 PM. Present were Leslie Baumann,
Joyce Johanson, Jan Bruton, Polly Naumann, Lynette
Clooney, Kathy Fallon, Naomi Hanson, Pat Keen Fernandes,
Ray Sledzik, Marsha Susag and Bobbie Wood. (Absent
were Rita Cloutier, Ron Crowder and Tom Worlton.) Bud
Brockway and Sherry Swanson were also in attendance.
Leslie thanked Naomi for her complete National Specialty
report, including detailed job descriptions for the N.S.
Committee and for the outstanding job she has done as
Chair for the past three years. Marsha reported that the new
Yearbook will be sent to every ALAC member. Regarding
the Health and Education Trust Treasury, Leslie reported that
the Altria stock was sold at a good time (in the 80's and it is
now in the 60's) and the $1200.00 was sent to Dr. Whiteley
to subsidize whole litter testing.
OLD BUSINESS
Breed Rescue Report - Helen Brown
Helen gave her report on Breed Rescue. See Annual
Meeting Minutes for full report.
The reading of the minutes from the last Board Meeting was
waived as the minutes had been printed in the Bulletin.
President's Report - Leslie Baumann
Leslie thanked all on the Board for their commitment to
ALAC and for all their hard work. She mentioned that Leslie
Pesic was unable to co-ordinate Meet the Breeds but on her
own had found two other ALAC members - Susan Vaughn
and Linda Groover to take on the job.
Treasurer's Report - Polly Naumann
Polly reported that the Bulletin and the National Specialty
were still not profitable. Items like the awards plaques are
quite expensive and Kathy Fallon wondered whether there
might be a less expensive way to do awards. The cost of
the McCartney t-shirts was also discussed - there may be a
less expensive t-shirt as well. The IRS penalty ($1895.10)
assessed earlier for late filing of the 2004 taxes has been
returned by IRS with interest. Ray complimented Polly on
getting the tax information to him this year in such a timely
manner.
AKC Delegate - Ray Sledzik
Ray reported that the AKC has begun a PAC.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
The committee reports were given - see the General
Meeting Minutes for the detailed reports. During the
Bulletin report, there was discussion on advertising by
businesses like Solid Gold. Naomi also wondered if
it might be interesting to print old articles from past
Bulletins that still had some merit for today. Regarding
Health & Genetics, Leslie reminded everyone of the renal
dysplasia workshop to be held during the week as part
of Breeder Education. She has also been sharing ideas
with the Cairn Terrier breeders about renal dysplasia. In
Pat's Judges' Education report, she explained the new AKC
requirement for a 90 minute breed seminar for prospective
Lhasa judges, as well as mentoring guidelines for those
who would be interested in becoming mentors and in
volunteering for the kennel visits required of new judges.
Rally ROM Award
Bobbie explained that a Rally ROM would be 3 rally titles,
with one required to be an advanced title (RA) which is
all off-lead. This is the same as with an Obedience ROM.
Rally would also be added as a component to Versatility
- Rally could be one of the 3 components (out of 4)for
a Versatility title. (A conformation title is required for
Versatility) Versatility EX has 4(out of 5) components,
one of which could be Rally. Marsha moved and Kathy
seconded that Rally be added as a component for Versatility
and Versatility Ex.Titles and that a Rally ROM (3 titles with
one being an advanced Rally title) become an established
award. The motion (#07-10) passed.
NEW BUSINESS
E-Mail
Leslie began the discussion by saying we had to think of
conducting board business by e-mail and communicating
via e-mail as two separate things. Lately there have been
problems with servers that have been preventing board
members from receiving e-mail and thus making them
unable to participate properly in board business. Our
by-laws were written before e-mail was an option. Our
teleconferences have not been totally satisfactory. After
much discussion regarding communication strategies,
Ray moved and Marsha seconded that a By-Law Revision
committee be appointed by the new board. The motion
(#07-11) passed.
Re-alignment of the Groups
At the recent Parent Club conference, there was discussion
of re-alignment of the Groups, with a possible Nordic
Group being formed. We all need to be aware that this is a
current topic of discussion amongst the breeds.
501 C 7 Status Change
Leslie explained the need to change ALAC's tax status so we
can solicit funds from non-members. At the moment, ALAC
is 501C7 which means we cannot solicit from outside the
membership for more than 35% of our income or we lose
our exemption. Leslie explained that we need to change to a
status "4". This means we can charge admission, sell

Joyce moved, Bobbie seconded, to change ALAC's tax status
to a C4. The motion (#07-12) passed.
Health and Education
Nancy Roseberry will report on the data base in the future.
Tom is retiring as Treasurer of the H & E Trust so a new
Treasurer will need to be appointed.
National Site Selection Committee
Leslie felt it was important to spread out the responsibility
for site selection decisions rather than leaving it up to just
one or two persons. It might be helpful to establish an ad
hoc committee to include possibly 3 members from each
of the regions to search out and identify future show sites.
Bobbie brought up the possibility of having our National
in conjunction with an all-breed show. The time frame
of the Futurity could be a problem here. Lynette brought
up the possibility of joining up with a combined Specialty
Association. If there were a site selection committee, it
could look into all the possibilities of a region and then
come to the Board with its recommendations. The Board
might have to ask for some flexibility from the membership
in choosing or approving a site. After much discussion
regarding site selection problems,
Marsha moved. Kathy seconded, that we form an ad hoc
Site Selection Committee with 3 members from each
region. The Board will choose the chair from the committee
members. The motion (#07-13) passed.
AlAConline
Lynette felt an ALAC chatline would be a good idea. A
monitor would be a necessity. The ALACchat would consist
of input from the membership, the ALAConline disseminates
information already decided upon. Lynette moved that we
establish a moderated ALAC chatline for ALAC members.
Kathy seconded the motion. The motion (#07-14) passed.
NAIA
After discussion on the work of the National Animal Interest
Alliance in fighting breed specific laws, Pat moved and
Naomi seconded that we send $100 to NAIA. The motion
(#07-15) passed.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:35PM

Yuppie showed she is definitely "upwardly mobile"
when she stepped into the U.S. ring for the first time
Oct. 20/07 and moved up to the front of the line for
Winners Bitch and Best Opposite Sex for 2 points.
Once she had the momentum she repeated this win
the next day for another 2 points.
Many thanks to Mr. Joe Walton and Mr. Clinton Harris

MEET THE BREEDS
AKC INVITATIONAL 2007
4TH PLACE
By Linda Groover, Susan Vaughn & Bud Brockway
... or should we say, Meet the Lhasa Apso! The ALAC booth at this year's AKC/
Eukanuba Meet the Breeds was a huge success! It was exciting and extremely
informative. Susan Vaughn, dressed in an authentic Tibetan outfit, was the hit of
the show and made the photo layout on the AKC website; we had several informative
handouts, videos, Tibetan banners, prayer flags, photographs taken in Tibet of the
people and the dogs, and much, much more!
The booth had a
constant flow of people
interested in finding
out more about our
breed, and the dogs
on display interacted
with both adults and
children, leaving no
doubt in anyone's
mind as to the Apso's
true character and awesome personality. We were
visited not only by the AKC president and several AKC
representatives, but we were able to meet Parkir (the
agility dog) and his handler and owner... what a fabulous
dog! And our booth was filmed by at least three
different camera crews. Could we ask for anything
more!? It was a very exciting and rewarding weekend...
all of our hard work and planning was well worth the
end result!
We would like to thank the following people for their contribution, without which the booth would not have been
the success it was. Contributions include articles written by them, photographs provided and/or taken by them,
Vickie Kuhlmann
Debby Rothman
Roberta Lombardi

Pat Keen-Fernandez
Dave Reed
Bobbie Wood

Marsha Susag
We would also like to thank Darby McSorley for her tireless energy and for being at the booth all day, both days.
Her assistance was invaluable.
And last, but not least, we would like to thank
the Lhasas (and their owners) for their time and
for showing
the public the
true spirit and

Minutes of the ALAC Annual Meeting
October 25, 2007
Houston,Texas
The meeting was called to order by President Leslie
Baumann. She thanked the members for showing their
interest by attending the meeting. She went over several
highlights of the Board Meeting held earlier in the week
including the National Site Selection Committee and a
moderated ALAC chat list. She asked that if anyone would
be interested in serving on a "Sunshine" committee, please
talk to Lynette. The reading of the minutes of the last
meeting was waived due to the fact that they had been
published earlier in the Bulletin.
SECRETARY'S REPORT - Jan Bruton
Since the last Board Meeting held by Conference Call in
January 2007, the minutes of which were published in
the Summer Bulletin, there have been a number of Board
actions. The motions are listed below:
Illustrated Guide Mailing
Joyce moved that ALAC sell additional copies of the
Illustrated Guide to ALAC members for $6 (U.S. members),
$7(Canadian members) and $10 for all members outside
the U.S. & Canada. Prices listed include shipping costs. Pat
seconded the motion (#07-3), which passed.
Storage Unit
Joyce moved and Pat seconded that Marsha Susag be
allowed to rent a storage unit to store the Illustrated Guides
and Yearbooks and that ALAC pay the monthly storage fee.
The motion (#07-4) passed.
National Move
Polly moved that the ALAC Nationals move to St. Louis for
a 3 year period. Joyce seconded but added "beginning
with the 2008 Specialty". Leslie amended to read "to hold
our National Specialty in the same location in St. Louis for
2008, 2009 and 2010." The motion (#07-5) passed.
National Dedication
Polly moved, Ronnie seconded, that the 2007 National
Specialty be dedicated to the memory of Midge Hylton.
Along with this, a Midge Hylton challenge trophy (must
be won 3 times) will be offered for Best Puppy. Friends of
Midge will be responsible for the trophy in all ways. The
motion (#07-6) passed.
National Move
Jan reported she had found evidence of there having been a
membership vote on 1,2 or 3 sites for the National in 2001
and that we could not, according to Roberts Rule, overturn
a membership vote. Therefore, the motion (#07-5) was not
valid.
Renal Dysplasia
Tom moved and Joyce seconded that we send Dr. Whitely
$1200 for whole litter RD testing - 20% off until the $1200 is
used. The motion (#07-7) passed.
Breed Flyer
Joyce moved, Pat seconded, that the Board approve the
contents and graphics of the ALAC flyer (as amended) that
will be sent out with each AKC Lhasa Apso registration. The
motion (#07-8) passed.
All Breed Agility Trial
Joyce moved, Pat seconded that ALAC hold a 2 day all-breed
agility trial in Manhattan, IL in March 2008. The motion
(#07-9) passed.
Other Board Actions and Discussions
Nominating Committee
The Board selected Marsha Susag, Bev Drake and Carla
Varney to serve on the nominating committee.
Benitez Fund Assistance
Rita asked for assistance due to flooding for ALAC member
Ed Moses from the Benitez Fund. The Board agreed to send
him $500.00 for which he was very grateful.
Letter to California Legislature
Leslie wrote a letter on behalf of ALAC opposing the
mandatory spay/neuter bill that was being considered in
California.
Conducting Business by E-Mail
There was discussion as to whether Roberts Rules of Order
allowed conducting Board Business via-e-mail.
AKC Conferences
Marsha Susag agreed to attend the AKC Parent Club
Conference and Nancy Roseberry agreed to attend the AKC
Parent Club Canine Health Conference.
TREASURER'S REPORT - Pauline Naumann
Polly reported that happily, the fine charged to ALAC by the
IRS was negated. Marsha Susag moved and Ronnie Crowder
seconded that the Treasurer's report published in the Bulletin
be accepted.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
AKC Gazette- Cassandra de la Rosa
Leslie reported that there was nothing new to report
regarding the AKC Gazette column.
ALAConline - Lynette Clooney
Lynette urged everyone to watch for pertinent information
regarding ALAC on the ALAConline.
American Lhasa Apme Club
Arnaud Meeting
Awards - Bobbie Wood
Bobbie explained the recent Board action to make
an award for Rally ROM as well as adding Rally as a
component in the Versatility and Versatility Ex. certificates.
Breeder Referral - Leslie Baumann
Leslie introduced Bev Drake, the East Coast Breeder
Referral contact and Pat Fernandes, the West Coast
contact. She said she had had very few inquiries this year
with virtually no seasonal upticks. However, the online
Breeder Directory has generated an increased number of
inquiries. Members should contact Leslie if there are any
errors or changes to their information in the Online Breeder
Directory. She urged the membership to refer people to
other ALAC members to prevent prospective buyers from
going to the puppy mills.
Breed Rescue - Helen Brown
Helen reported that 2007 had been a tough year for Rescue
- very few foster home applications and many puppies and
young adults were surrendered and as always - volunteer
burnout. ALAC Rescue will work with ALAC members to
place their dogs. She reported on the puppy mill situation
in Pennsylvania which has turned out well thanks in part
to the action of the Governor there. Rescue continues
attending dog Expos across the country and has several
initiatives to raise funds including Rally to Rescue items,
Cafe Press and cell phone/printer cartridge recycling. She
thanked the members for attending and contributing to
the Bingo/Raffle and for donations throughout the year.
Leslie thanked Helen for all her efforts and asked that those
involved in Rescue stand up and be recognized.
Breeder Education -Joyce Johanson
Joyce reported that the BEC was re-organized following the
2006 National specialty. Members include Co-Chairs Don
Evans and Joyce Johanson, Amy Andrews, Leslie Baumann,
Lynette Clooney, Pat Collier, Debby Rothman, Sherry
Swanson and Janice Tilley. The following subcommittees
were formed to handle the BEC priorities for the year:
National Specialty Program for 2007 and 2008, AKC breed
flyer (completed in July), Bulletin articles and the BEC
webpage which include interviews of ROM breeders. Joyce
passed out examples of the new breed flyer that will be
included with every AKC Lhasa puppy registration.
Bulletin - Bobbie Wood
Bobbie thanked all who participated with their advertising
in the Bulletin this year. It was published 3 times in 2007.
The Winter issue was 56 pages, the Spring issue was 40
pages and the Fall issue was 64 pages. She tries to limit the
ALAC pages to 10(about 1/4 of the issue) with the rest paid
advertising. She still needs a volunteer who will solicit ads
and she always needs articles and ideas for future issues.
Finance - Janice Tilley
Janice presented a lengthy report of the profits and losses
of past Nationals (2002-2005). Part of the problem in the
past has been that ALAC's tax year does not match it's fiscal
year. The profit/loss of the specialties is basically the result
of hotel costs - especially the ballrooms. Leslie thanked
Janice for her efforts in trying to sort out ALAC's past
National finances.
Futurity - Carol Hess
Naomi Hanson gave Carol's report. She reminded
members that Futurity nominations are due within 90
days of birth. Litter nominations for 2007 were basically
the same as last year. For 2006, there were 56 litter
nominations. For 2007 there were 57 nominations. She
thanked Ronnie Crowder for judging the 2007 Futurity
and will be accepting judging nominations for the 2009
Futurity until March 31, 2008. Naomi announced that the
Futurity judge for 2008 will be Clay Williams.
Handbook - Jan Bruton
Any address changes or e-mail changes should be sent to
the Handbook Chair. An updated roster and officer/board/
committee section will be ready in March 2008.
Health and Education - Leslie Baumann
Leslie reported that Dr. Whiteley needs volunteers for
the whole litter testing - go to ALAChealth.org for more
.
information. Nancy Roseberry attended the Canine
Health Conference and will write a report and a proposal
for a Health and Education data base. She announced
that a representative from Waltham Mars will be taking
blood samples on the show site for future health problem
research.
Judges' Education - Pat Keen-Fernandes
Pat reported that it had been a busy year for the committee,
consisting of herself as chair, Leslie Baumann, Ann
Lanterman, Don Hanson, Bev Drake, Bobbie Wood,
Stephanie Kodis and Barbara Schwartz. It expanded the
current JEC program to a 90 minute presentation to follow
the new AKC guidelines for judges' education. It also
established and provided an official parent club mentor
list to the AKC Judges' Education Dept. which included
all of the JEC/BSC members and licensed member judges
and several ROM breeders who expressed an interest in
mentoring when requested. In 2006-2007, the committee
gave 3 official judges education programs: at the National
Specialty 10/06, at the AKC Judges' Institute 04/07 in
Chicago -Leslie Baumann with Cindy Butsic and at the
American Judges Institute in Pennsylvania 07/07 presented
by Leslie Baumann with Nancy Plunkett, Amy Andrews
and Cheryl Joswick.
Meet the Breeds - Susan Vaughn
Susan reported that plans for the booth at the Eukanuba
AMOriCalt Lhasa Apo Club
Amid Meeting
show in early December were going well. She said that
Roberta Lombardi had volunteered sprays and brushes for
the grooming demonstration.
Membership - Joyce Johanson
From November 2006 through October 2007, ALAC
received 29 applications for membership. The Board
approved 28 of the applications. Of the 28 applications
approved, 20(71%) of them were for single membership
and 8(29%) were for family memberships. Joyce reminded
everyone that dues payments do not go to her but to the
Treasurer. If a membership lapses, a member must reapply for membership. If a member wants to add a family
member, there is a form to fill out to make it official.
National Specialty - Naomi Hanson
Naomi thanked everyone for coming to Houston. She
acknowledged all those members who had worked so
hard to make the National week a success: Pat Keen
Fernandes (SiteCoordinator/Concessions), Kathy Rupprecht
(Performance), Leslie Baumann (Agility), Bobbie Wood
(Show Secretary), Bobbie Wood & Cheryl Zink (Awards),
Ann Lanterman (Banquet), Sandy Copeland (Catalog Ads),
Carol Hess (Futurity), Cindy Sehnert, Ann Lanterman and
Friends of Midge Hylton (Trophies), Polly Naumann (ALAC
auction), Phyllis & Wayne Huffstetler, Bev & Scott Simms
and Cathy Sarantis(ALAC raffle), Marie Allman (local club
liason) and Marie Allman, Roliin Nagel Fisher and Nancy
Stephens (Hospitality Bags). She announced that the site
for the 2008 National will be at the Holiday Inn, MansfieldFoxboro MA from October 20-24 and the judges are Sari
Brewster Tietjen for the National and Steve Campbell for the
Regional. Naomi also announced the judges for the 2009
National and Regional: Frank Sabella and Bev Drake.
Performance- Kathy Rupprecht
Kathy thanked Robin Fisher for her help in co-ordinating
the Performance events this year. The all-breed agility trial
ALAC is sponsoring will be held on Feb. 8th and 9th, 2008
instead of in March as was previously announced.
Ways & Means - Phyllis Huffstetler
Due to a death in the family, Phyllis was unable to attend.
Her husband Wayne manned the Ways and Means booth
and Leslie encouraged everyone to support it.
Website - Leslie Baumann
Regarding the On-line Breeders Directory, Leslie reminded
members that there are two ways to be included: nominate
a litter for the Futurity or pay a $25 yearly fee.
Yearbook - Marsha Susag
Marsha thanked all who had participated by sending in
ads and announced that the membership will be receiving
copies of the Yearbook in the near future.
Rescue Trust Treasury- Bev Drake
Over the past year, Bev has sent out 88 receipts/thankyou's. The Treasury has $4451.14 in its Pay Pal account and
$5358.70 in its checking account.
Health and Education Trust Treasury - Tom Worlton
Tom reported that there was approximately $10,000.00 in
the Trust.
Election of Officers and Board
The Secretary read the results of the annual election. 157
ballots were received. 2 were disqualified because the
member voted for all the candidates. 10 other ballots were
disqualified for non-payment of dues. The remaining votes
for candidates are as follows: President - Lynette Clooney
(135), Vice President - Don Evans (74), Joyce Johanson (99),
Secretary - Jan Bruton (139), Treasurer - Pauline Naumann
(126), Board of Directors - Bud Brockway (105), Rita
Cloutier (130), Dorothy Kendall (93), Sherry Swanson (125),
AKC Delegate - Ray Sledzik (127).
Therefore, Lynette Clooney, Joyce Johanson, Jan Bruton,
Pauline Naumann, Bud Brockway, Rita Cloutier, Sherry
Swanson and Ray Sledzik were elected.
Election of New Members
Leslie explained how membership applicants Adrian
Agard and Earl Takahashi had been denied membership
after a Board Executive Session and a secret ballot. Their
sponsors, Michael Santora and Susan Giles requested that
the membership vote on their application. The result of
the balloting was 52 no, 23 yes and therefore the Board
decision was sustained.
The meeting was adjourned.
