h Founded in the year 1936 and until now the spa is used for recreational
activities of inhabitants and visitors of
the town Levice. The recreation facility
comprises of one swimming pool, grass
plots for sports and one buffet. Thermal
water with temperature of 26˚ C springing from under the pool has favourable
effect on human body. Composition of
the water is of high quality and it is suitable for drinking.
Swimming bath Margita - Ilona
h Annual visit rate is approximately 50
thousand people, in case of the camp it is
2 500 visitors. It comprises of four swimming pools, auto-camp with capacity 300
beds, sport grounds and restaurants. The
swimming pools are supplied with water
from two bores with temperature of 25˚
C. Season starts on 15 May and ends on
15 September.

Thermal water effects, quality and temperature:
hSpring Margita is situated in the recreation area approx. 1 km south of the municipality. Spring –discharge at discharged pool
reached 450 l/min.; ČSN(STN) 86 8000: natural, weakly mineralized, hydro-carbonate-sulphate, calcium-magnesium water, tepid, hypotonic water.
hSpring Ilona is situated in the recreation area approx. 100 on the left of the stream Sikenica. It is recreation pool with natural bottom
covered with slatted floor. Spring –discharge at discharged pool reached 250 l/min. At the present time the spring is not being used .
After remodelling in the year 2001 the pool is filled through the water mushroom from the bore HBV-1 or HBV-2a . In 2003 these bores
were interconnected by pipes in case that more serious emergency occurs. ČSN(STN) 86 8000: natural, weakly mineralized, hydrocarbonate-sulphate, calcium-magnesium water, tepid, hypotonic water.

SPA MARGITA - AREA DESCRIPTION AND BROADER RELATIONS
hBroader land relations
Spa Margita area is located in the cadastral area of originally autonomous municipality Kalinčiakovo that has been incorporated in the town of Levice since the year 1970.
Kalinčiakovo is still keeping its agricultural and village character with recreational and
residential functions.
The main access from Levice is by the road II/564 with the turn in Kalinčiakovo along
a local road to Margita area and also by the road III/05643 to Aquapark Margita Ilona.
Land use plan of the town of Levice considers the lands and premises to be used for
sports and recreation.
The construction project of the complex tourist resort on the periphery of the town
part of Levice, in Kalinčiakovo, is focused on the renovation, reconstruction and finishing of existing development in the recreational area Margita-Ilona into Aquapark
Margita-Ilona in the ownership of the town of Levice and on the other hand on construction of sport and accommodation facilities Margita (Spa Margita) in the ownership of company PROMA, s.r.o. that will offer supplementary services to the aquapark,
situated on the south side behind the river Sikenica.
hArea characteristics
Spa Margita and Swimming bath Margita – Ilona are located 6km from the town of
Levice. The overall area of the area in question is 17,8 ha. From this, Spa Margita and
Swimming bath Margita Ilona are located on the border of Danube plain and Štiavnica
Mountains close to slightly hilly country with relative warm climate.

Bore HBV-1: the bore at the north edge
of the swimming pool of Ilona was built
in 1967. It is 80 m deep; plywood pipes
are inbuilt in it. It catches thermal water
from the depth 15 to 65 m. It is used for
needs of the swimming bath (filling of the
pools) in summer months.
Discharge during the common pumping
test was 1 500 l/min at water level lowering by 0.5m
ČSN(STN) 86 8000: natural, weakly mineralized, hydro-carbonate-sulphate, calcium-magnesium water, tepid, hypotonic
water.
Bore HBV-2a: the bore situated between
the restaurant facility and the sport area
at the stream Sikenica. It was built in
1967. It is situated in the masonry object, protected against pollution. The access is good. It is 65 m deep, with inbuilt
plywood pipes. Water is used in the pool
“Eva” for recreational bathing in summer
time. Water from this bore is also used for
filling of the children pool, and in case of
failure of HBV-1 for filling of other pools
too. Its discharge during the common
pumping test (with HBV-1 and HBV-3)
was 670 l/min.
ČSN(STN) 86 8000: natural, weakly mineralized, hydro-carbonate-sulphate, calcium-magnesium water, tepid, hypotonic
water.
Bore HBV-3: the bore situated on the
right side of the stream Sikenica on the
south edge of the autocamp. It was built
in 1967. It is 50.5 m deep, with inbuilt
plywood pipes. There is built a masonry
object protected against pollution. The
source is used as service water for WC and
showers at pools. The access to the bore
is good. Its discharge during the common
pumping test was 126 l/min.
ČSN(STN) 86 8000: natural, weakly mineralized, hydro-carbonate-sulphate, calcium-magnesium water, cold, hypotonic
water.
Information on the bores and the springs was drawn from
the book Mineral water of Slovakia 1, year 1977 and from
the study Environmental state and sustainable management of cross-border Hungarian-Slovakian formations of
ground waters – Mineral and thermal waters in the crossborder formation of ground waters of quaternary sediments of Ipeľ and vicinity.

Possibilities of the investment
The purpose of the Spa Margita complex, the plots of which are owned by the company PROMA, s.r.o., is to build a complex centre of tourism by construction of the
sport-recreational and accommodation complex.
hAccomodation complex on the 3* and 4* level
- within the project it is possible to build two balcony-access hotels and 12 apartment
houses that will offer high quality accommodation and food services to guests and
visitors of the complex Spa Margita and Aqua park Margita-Ilona. Parking would be
provided by the central parking lot at the entrance to the complex – 180 parking
spaces is proposed. An emergency parking lot situated at the reception will have 60
parking places.
hRelax a wellness centre
- the area makes it possible to build a center intended for relaxation and wellness for
visitors and guests of the complex Spa Margita and Aqua park Margita-Ilona. Within
the relax center it is possible to build a 20 m in-door recreational pool and a children
pool. The hall with pools would have direct contact with a beach area on the bank of
the river. Sauna world with the Finish sauna, the infra sauna and the vapour bath is
designed to be a part of the center too.
Visitors of the relax center would also have at their disposal services of a fitness center.
hSport areas
- within the complex it is possible to build a tennis court, a handball court and a children’s playground. 18-hole mini-golf suitable for families with children and a golf
training area - driving range for more demanding customers of the Spa Margita complex are designed to be built too.
An architectural and planning study has been elaborated for this type of building
up. The study is included in the price for the land necessary for the building up. An
investment cost according to the elaborated study is from 10 to 15 million euro.
