Burnett Realty, Well-Known Central Iowa Brokerage, merges with
Nation’s Second-Largest Franchise, Keller Williams® Realty
CLIVE – Burnett Realty, a leading independent central Iowa
brokerage since its founding 12 years ago, merged today with
Keller Williams® Realty, which is the fastest-growing residential
real estate firm in North America and the nation’s secondlargest real estate franchise.
“We give agents the tools and information to get the job done,”
Bell said. “That’s why, on average, Keller Williams agents were
almost three times more effective than the National Association
of Realtors average in sales closed last year. That’s great for
agents and, especially, the people they represent.”
The firm, located at 10200 Hickman Court, will operate under
the name Keller Williams® Greater Des Moines effective
immediately. Doug Burnett, who founded Burnett Realty in March
2000, will remain with Keller Williams as an investor. Kacy Bell,
of Tulsa, Okla., will lead the firm as its operating principal.
This is the second market center for Keller Williams® Realty in
Iowa, the first of which is located in the Quad Cities. They are
excited to enter one of the few major markets without a Keller
Williams® Realty. This focus on growth has grown the company
34.8 percent between 2005 and 2010.

A QR or Quick Response code, also known as a 2D barcode, gives
users information on their smart phone or cell phone in an
instant. In the simplest sense, think print-based link to web.
If you see these QR codes, you take a photo through an
application on your smart phone or cell phone, the program
analyzes or scans the barcode, and it asks if you’d like to be
redirected to a web address/URL.
Can I use QR codes on my phone?
Because this technology is relatively new, there is no standard
program or application for you to use. iPhones® and BlackBerrys®
accommodate QR scanning applications quite easily and have very
inexpensive (or even free) downloads available from their respective
application stores.
Even some cell phones allow it.

The Polk City Development Corporation (PCDC) is a group of community leaders
and business owners that have joined together to promote Polk City, provide
support to existing businesses, and recruit new business to the city.
PCDC has incorporated as a non-profit corporation to better enable the
organization to accomplish its goals. The goal of PCDC is to grow Polk City in a
manner that allows the community to retain its character.
Our Mission Statement is to encourage a proactive business environment
that results in a diversified and balanced smart growth of Polk City’s

Chamber
Polk City is one of the oldest towns in Polk
County. George Beebe came here in 1846 and
laid out the town in 1850. He opened a general
store and erected a mill. He also gave land for a
town park where the City’s historic band shell
rests in the only town square in Polk County.
The Polk City Chamber of Commerce is proud to
be involved in fostering business growth in Polk
City, Iowa and improving the quality of life in the
northern Polk County region. Monthly membership
meetings are held the second Wednesday of each
month at 11:30 am at various locations in Polk City.

Big Creek State Park - Big Creek Lake was created as part of Saylorv ille

Jester Park - Jester Park has been one of central Iowa’s favorite outdoor

Neil Smith Bike Trail - Polk City has many access points to the Neil Smith

High Trestle Trail - Polk City also has close access to the High Trestle Trail.
Built over old train tracks, the signature part of the trail is features a
half mile
long, 130 feet high bridge over the Des Moines River.
Tournament Club of Iowa - The Tournament Club of Iowa is a premier
