The Great Backyard Bird Count
Saturday, February 16th from
10:00am-12:00pm
Join us at Cane Creek Park to help us
participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count.
We will have ranger led nature walks at 10 am
and 11am. We will meet at the nature trail
outdoor classroom. If we are lucky, we may
spot one of the two bald eagles that reside in
the park. Beginners and experienced
birdwatchers are welcome. Bring your
binoculars and identification guides. This is a
free event that does not require preregistration. (Regular entrance fees apply.)
Contact David Paschal for more information

What’s Been Happening
WE HAVE BEEN BUSY!
Our staff has been working hard to develop a new nature trail and outdoor classroom for our
community. Everyone from school and service groups to a family out for a day in the park will
be able to use and benefit from this trail. It’s a great way to celebrate all the natural beauty of
the park in an easily accessible way. Our hope is that folks using the trail will not only have fun,
but learn something as well.
