The Goliad County Chamber of Commerce’s 24th Annual Missions Tour de Goliad
presented by GDF Suez - Coleto Creek will be held October 17, 2015. It’s not too late to
RIDE or VOLUNTEER. We have a volunteer opportunity for evening people, morning
people, men and women, young and old, come join us!
Volunteer Opportunity #1: Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Community Center (450 S. Market) to help
with rider “goody bag” stuffing beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Volunteer Opportunity #2: Help is needed with Rider Registration Friday, October 16th from 5:45 p.m. - 8:00
p.m. and Saturday, October 17th from 5:45 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. Registration is held at the Community Center located at
450 S. Market. Also that morning, help will be needed to tear down and pack out of the community center starting at
8:00 a.m.
Volunteer Opportunity #3: Sag Drivers - What is a SAG Driver? SAG (Support and Gear) is a support vehicle for
the cyclists to carry water, snacks and bicycle repair equipment to ensure the cyclists have all they need to complete the
ride. SAG also will carry a cyclist and their bicycle to the end of the ride in the rare occasion they cannot finish for some
mechanical or physical reason.
Volunteer Opportunity #4: Ride Gophers! Routes range from 10-65 miles and things sometime happen that need
help from town.
Volunteer Opportunity #5-15: Call us and we will find a great opportunity for you.
If you would like to volunteer please call Bonnee at the Chamber office - (361)645-3563. If you can give a
half hour, an hour, an evening, an afternoon - all volunteer help is important! Thanks for your help!

On the 1st Saturday in December, period craftsmen, artisans and reenactors will gather on the
grounds of Presidio La Bahia to bring history to life!
People will gather together at Presidio La Bahia to trade the crafts and wares they have made and
collected in in a 21st century adaptation of the ancient trade fair. Take the day and visit Presidio
La Bahia and browse the trade blankets and sutlers tents for unique Christmas gifts for that special
person on your list!
Dress for the weather as this event takes place out of doors. Admission is $4 for adults, $3.50 for

you contact us ahead of time with ALL of the following information: Title of Event, Date of Event,
Beginning & Ending Time (computer program will not accept without this), Description of Event, One Time
Event or Continuing Event, Contact person and number for info.
We produce the newsletter quarterly (Jan. 1, April 1, July 1, Oct. 1) Events open to the public will be
included only if the above information is provided at least two weeks prior to publication date. Website
calendar includes meetings that are not closed to the public.
