Notes This is an update of the bulletin delivered today at 15:16 UTC. The TOSCAgis website is now fonctioning again. The forecast of the MIO meteorological model is in agreement with the outlook by Fidji Meteorological Service reported in the last bulletin. The series of zonally-aligned mesoscale eddies considered as potential targets for the LD station B is still observed at about 21◦S of latitude and between longitudes 176◦E and 184◦E . They continue to move Wward. The Nward current between the eddy #1 and the eddy #2 is no more intesifying. The target site #1 is conrmed. The target site #2 has been moved W to follow the eddy moving Wward. The target site #3 is conrmed. The target site #4 has been moved S to be poisitioned in the local minimum of velocity. 2.2 CLS Regional Products No substantial changes are observed in CHL maps with respect yestarday's bulletin. The general warming is still observed in SST maps and conrmed by the in situ (vessel TSG) data. A temperature higher than 29.5◦C is now observed at the target site #1. The CHL concentration at target site #3 remains higher than 0.1 [mg m−3 ]. A CHL concentration smaller than 0.1 [mg m−3 ] is observed in eddies #2 and #4. 2.3 MODIS Data avalaible for CHL conrms the low concentrations observed in CLS maps.
