Since our founding in 1964 as the Rotary Club of Bath
our club name has changed twice:
 1964 – 1978: Rotary Club of Bath
 1978 – 2007: Rotary Club of North West Summit County
 2007 – Now: Rotary Club of Fairlawn
 Our 1965 fundraiser brought
the Cleveland Orchestra to
Hale Farm and demonstrated
the viability of Blossom Music
Center
 Helped develop the Bath Community Park system
 Sent brood sows to the Philippines
 Helped build a local camp for handicapped
children
 Added Richfield, Copley, and Fairlawn to area served
 Helped maintain Boy Scout Camp Manatoc and
Girl Scout Camp Ledgewood
 Started delivering annual Christmas baskets to needy
families
 Annual Gala to benefit Boy Scouts & other charities
 Collected & shipped over 1500 lbs of toys to Katrina
victims
 Club name shortened to largest city we serve
 Annual Speakeasy

Began in 2012-2013.
Has worked in partnership with Revere International Club.
Membership has ranged between 8-15 active participants.
2012-2013 Fundraisers- Muffin Sale before school which raised over
$200 for coloring books and supplies for the Hartville Migrant Center
and The Moringa Project to provide nutritional assistance in Haiti.
2013-2014 Fundraiser- International Food Feast after school event.
Donations taken to provide peanut butter for the Good Neighbors
food pantry.

Chartered in October of 2013 this service and professional based
organization has provided an opportunity for young men and women to
enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal
development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities,
and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a
framework of friendship and service.

 7800+ square foot facility in Fairlawn

members and co-workers supporting cancer patients

Break cycle of poverty by helping provide:
 Elementary, Middle, & High
Schools for Over 1700 Kids
 Trade School
 Hospital & School for Blind
 Shelter for Pregnant Women
 500 Homes with Micro Farms
 Orphans hauled water many
hours from across town
 Helped provide well - a Gusher!:
 Water for school
 Water to grow crops
 Water to sell to villagers
 Kids now spend time on school work, have food to
eat, and profits sustain well and school
 Village almost entirely built and run by orphans
 Before: no motorized vehicles
 All building supplies hand
carried
 Wheel barrow used to take
sick many miles to hospital
 Helped send new SUV with parts and maintenance
 Serve poorest of poor (no access to bank credit)
 Applicants must complete
provided business course
 Applicants guarantee each
other’s loans
 $60,000+ raised, enough to serve 6-7 villages
 MEDIC’s program proven
successful & sustainable
 1985 - Polio in USA
 2012 - India Polio Free:
 209 Countries Now Polio Free
 Polio only reported in
