REGIONAL SPATIAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK 2010/11 ADMINISTRATIVE REGION D SUB AREA THIRTEEN ARMADALE, DEVLAND, DEVLAND EXT 1, DEVLAND EXT 2, DEVLAND EXT 6, DEVLAND EXT 9, DEVLAND EXT 14, DEVLAND EXT 15, DEVLAND EXT 16, DEVLAND EXT 27, NATURENA, NATURENA EXT 5, NATURENA EXT 6, NATURENA EXT 11, NATURENA EXT 13, NATURENA EXT 17, NATURENA EXT 19, NATURENA EXT 20, NATURENA EXT 25, NATURENA EXT 26, RIVASDALE. Dominated by the Devland industrial park, the Golden Triangle and Naturena residential areas. Growth potential for Devland industrial park is hampered by lack of suitable land. Falls within the GMS Marginalised Priority Area. Key structuring elements are the N1 highway, Golden Highway, Goudkoppies Waste Water Treatment Works and the Naturena Ridges Challenges to look at include lack of access to N1, location of Goudkoppies Waste Water Treatment Works and Solid Waste Tip Site in close proximity to developed/developing residential areas and massive urban sprawl Proposed Projects: • Upgrading of Devland Industrial Park. • Access via Union Road to N1 and Kliptown. • Consolidation of the Golden Triangle residential area. DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVE To protect the residential ambience and strengthen the existing economic environment by providing related infrastructure and social amenities. INTERVENTIONS 1.1 Comptonville, Naturena and the Extensions thereto.
