F.V.C.T.C.’s Tips for Easy
Registration & Squadding
Registration & Handicapping—Step 1
There is a table set up inside the doors that will now be marked with #1 and
clearly state Registration & Handicapping. This is your first stop. One of
our Board of Directors will take your ATA card and your ATA Average card.
They will classify you depending on your averages as needed. Once you have
your handicapping completed you will then need to fill out the rest of your
registration form. Please complete this before you come to the squadding
window. Please mark the events that you wish to compete in and all of the
options you would like to play. If you are unsure of what these options are,
please take the time to speak with a Board Member. By completing this
form, you will save time at the windows. If you are renewing your ATA Membership or your MSTA Membership, please make sure those are filled out
completely and correctly. If you want to shoot with specific persons, please
decide how many of you are going to shoot together and at which posts
you would like to shoot.
Squadding Window—Step 2
This next step will be clearly marked with a sign above the window - #2
Squadding. This is where you will be placed into squads and get your total
for the events and options you have chosen to compete in. As stated before, please decide if there is a group that you want to shoot with. Please
know that there are times where you will not have the option to choose your
post or the squad you would like. We try as hard as possible to be able to
accommodate shooters, but there are times where we do not have those
options to choose from. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
talk to one of our Board Members. Please know that there can only be a 2yard spread between shooters’ handicaps. So if you are just starting out,
you will be a 20- yard shooter. That means that you can shoot with 21- or
22- yard shooters. Take this into consideration when you are picking other
shooters to shoot with.
Cashier Window—Step 3
Once you are given your total you will proceed to window #3 Cashier.
This is where you will be able to pay for your shooting fees, purchase
shells and practice tickets.
