CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY
NEW ASPIRIN
COURTESY OF DON MILLER
Submitted by Gene Cline
YES, I KNOW THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT AIRPLANES
BUT I RECEIVED SEVERAL INTERESTING CONSUMER INFO
SUBMISSIONS FOR THIS NEWS LETTER - SO HERE THEY ARE.
SOMETHING THAT WE CAN DO TO HELP
OURSELVES. NICE TO KNOW (IF YOU ARE 40+
READ THIS).
Bayer is
making
crystal aspirin
to dissolve
under the
tongue. They
work much
faster than
the tablets.
CONFIRMED ON SNOPES
<HTTP://WWW.SNOPES.COM /MEDICAL/TOXINS/PANCAKE. ASP
>
A (HIGH SCHOOL) STUDENT
RECENTLY ATE
PANCAKES AND IT ALMOST BECAME FATAL. HIS
MOM (REGISTERED NURSE) MADE HIM PANCAKES,
DROPPED HIM OFF AT SCHOOL AND HEADED TO
PLAY TENNIS. SHE NEVER TAKES HER CELL PHONE
ON THE COURT BUT DID THIS TIME AND HER SON
CALLED TO SAY HE WAS HAVING TROUBLE
BREATHING. SHE TOLD HIM TO GO TO THE NURSE
IMMEDIATELY AND PROCEEDED TO CALL SCHOOL
AND ALERT THE NURSE. THE NURSE CALLED THE
PARAMEDICS AND THEY WERE THERE IN 3 MINUTES
AND WORKED ON THE BOY ALL THE WAY TO THE
HOSPITAL. HE CAME SO CLOSE TO DYING. THIS IS
NOT UNCOMMON.
CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATES ON PACKAGES LIKE
PANCAKES AND CAKE MIXES THAT HAVE YEAST
WHICH OVER TIME DEVELOP SPORES.
APPARENTLY, THE MOLD THAT FORMS IN OLD
MIXES CAN BE TOXIC! THROW AWAY ALL
OUTDATED PANCAKE MIX, BROWNIE MIXES,
BISQUICK, CAKE & COOKIE MIXES, ETC., YOU HAVE
IN YOUR HOME.
WHY KEEP ASPIRIN BY YOUR BEDSIDE?
THERE ARE OTHER SYMPTOMS OF AN HEART
ATTACK BESIDES THE PAIN ON THE LEFT ARM.
ONE MUST ALSO BE AWARE OF AN INTENSE
PAIN ON THE CHIN, AS WELL AS NAUSEA AND
LOTS OF SWEATING, HOWEVER THESE
SYMPTOMS MAY ALSO OCCUR LESS
FREQUENTLY..
NOTE: THERE MAY BE NO PAIN IN THE CHEST
DURING A HEART ATTACK. THE MAJORITY OF
PEOPLE (ABOUT 60%) WHO HAD A HEART
ATTACK DURING THEIR SLEEP, DID NOT WAKE
UP. HOWEVER, IF IT OCCURS, THE CHEST PAIN
MAY WAKE YOU UP FROM YOUR DEEP SLEEP.
IF THAT HAPPENS, IMMEDIATELY DISSOLVE TWO
ASPIRINS IN YOUR MOUTH AND SWALLOW THEM
WITH A BIT OF WATER. AFTERWARDS:
- CALL 911
- SAY "HEART ATTACK!"
- SAY THAT YOU HAVE TAKEN 2 ASPIRINS..
- TAKE A SEAT ON A CHAIR OR SOFA NEAR THE
FRONT DOOR, AND WAIT FOR THEIR
ARRIVAL AND... DO NOT LIE DOWN ~
CARDIOLOGIST ESTIMATE THAT IF EACH PERSON
PASSES THIS INFORMATION ON TO 10 PEOPLE,
ONE LIFE MAY BE SAVED!

Upgraded Fuel Pumps
Web Stuff Worth Looking At
Ron has 2 Fuel Pumps that he repaired by
upgrading the coupling between the motor
and pump. The coupling is the weak point
of the pumps and is why they fail. My
upgraded pumps are used but work as good
as new and will last many times longer than
original. One is a Hobbico and the other is a
Hangar 9. $10 each

Sopwith Camel Rotary Engine
Thought you all might enjoy this. Tony Ferguson
There is a good explanation of the Sopwith
Camel's full rotary engine at the end of this
video. The sound of the V-12 RR Merlin engine is
beautiful - so turn up the sound and make sure
you go full screen.
