AHRI 2015 ANNUAL MEETING | 3
Letter from the Chairman
Dear AHRI Members:
I look forward to welcoming you
to the Hyatt Regency Coconut
Point for AHRI’s Annual Meeting,
November 15–17, 2015. This
premier resort sits on 26 acres
of beautiful southwest Florida,
and features spectacular amenities, including
an 18-hole Raptor Bay golf course designed
by Raymond Floyd. This year’s location is sure
to deliver sunshine, mild temperatures, and a
welcome break from November weather in much
of the rest of the country.
When you arrive, stop at the AHRI Registration
Desk, located in the Calusa Ballroom Foyer, and
pick up your name badge and meeting packet.
Sunday evening is the official start of the Annual
Meeting with the traditional “Need-to-Know”
session at 6:00 p.m. in the Calusa Ballroom. There,
you’ll learn what the AHRI staff and members have
accomplished together since the Spring Meeting in
May. Following the session, members and guests
will meet on the Waterfall Pool Deck at 7:00 p.m.
for the Welcome Reception and Dinner.
4 | AHRI 2015 ANNUAL MEETING
At Monday morning’s Chairman’s Breakfast, I
will report on the state of the association and
events from this year. Next we’ll present industry
awards, including the participants and winners of
the Chairman’s Challenge. This year, we will have
winners in two categories — single and multi-state
participants — as we recognize member companies
that hosted legislators and helped promote the Rees
Scholarship. Joby Ogwyn, a world record-holding
mountain climber and wing-suit pilot, our keynote
speaker, is sure to entertain as well as inspire. Golf,
tennis, and tours will fill the afternoon. Following
these events, be sure to attend the cocktail
reception on the Waterfall Pool Deck.
On Tuesday, Doug Young will outline his vision
for the coming year at the Incoming Chairman’s
Luncheon, and we will learn who won this year’s
sports awards. That evening, we will bid adieu to
another successful Annual Meeting with an elegant
black tie-optional reception and dinner dance.
The AHRI staff and I are looking forward to seeing
you at the Annual Meeting in beautiful Bonita Springs.
Warm Regards,
Ed Purvis
