HAPPY SUMMER TIME!
I hope everyone is having a great summer break! It was really nice to see some members and friends
supporting our Summer Social Supporting Local Operation Care for Heroes at Ocean Bleu.
Thank you to the members that came and assisted with the meal that was prepared for the Quantum
House, it is always nice to meet the parents & kids; and hear their amazing stories.
Several of our members have been busy attending several events and representing the GFWC
Florida; I am looking forward to hear all about their adventures during the summer time.
I know our JTJWC committee chairs are starting to prepare for our upcoming fall/winter 2012
programs and events.
Looking forward to the upcoming events!

Fundraising
Bonnie Larson, 2nd Vice President
Our Summer Social Supporting Local at Ocean Bleu was a GREAT
success! Thank you for supporting this Event by selling tickets/bringing
guests, collecting items for Operation Care for Heroes & attending!
We raised just over $1,000, $1,073.20 to be exact! Also, Ocean Bleu was kind enough to donate
10% of ALL dinner sales for the night rather than just 10% from those who mentioned JTJWC,
which was a very nice surprise!
I want to send a HUGE thank you to Jeanne - for making the tickets, Mary - for handling ticket
sales before/during event, Sheryl - for handling the raffles!
Looking ahead, we will have Bunko & Lighthouse Diner Event. Fundraising ideas we are
interested/looking into: Author Book Signing/Lunch, Baby Foot Sale, Wine/Olive Oil Tasting, &
Casino Night
