The Fairmount Park Horse Show (FPHS) at the Northwestern Equestrian Facility will be
held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 7am - 4pm. This event draws widespread interest from
Northwestern Stables, Inc. (NWS) families, friends and members of the surrounding
communities and is promoted via the NWS newsletter, social media and print advertising in
local papers.
Merchants are invited to exhibited fine art, homemade crafts, jewelry, equine apparel and
products, and specialty items. We will try to limit the number of spaces in any one category
to ensure a variety of merchandise for our shoppers. Space is limited and is filled on a first
come basis.
The fee to participate is based upon the location of your assigned setup area and includes a
numbered 8‘ x 8‘ outdoor area with parking conveniently located close to your setup area for
easy loading/unloading. Tents are also available and provide cover from sun and weather.
There are 2 areas available.
• Area 1 - $110
• Area 1 with Tent Setup - $160
Area 1 is located along the perimeter of the Arena Spectator Lawn and the event arena. This
area is limited to 12 merchants.
• Area 2 - $85
• Area 2 with Tent Setup - $135
Area 2 is located along the exterior of the Lesson Barn and is the thoroughfare for visiting
participants and their horses.
Potential merchants must provide a description and photographs of the products they will be
selling at the FPHS (websites are accepted for product review).
As an added marketing incentive for your business, we are offering to include your business
name on our event program/prize list as “Featured Merchants” for a fee of $25. If you wish
to be included on the event program/prize list, we must receive your signed “Merchant
Agreement” with full payment no later than May 1, 2013.
To reserve your space at the Fairmount Park Horse Show, please send your check and
“Merchant Agreement” to the address listed on the agreement.
Merchants keep 100% of their sale proceeds.
Checkin/setup time will begin at 7:00 am (full set-up by 9:00 am).
Park in your designated/numbered space (emailed to you upon receipt of payment).
Merchants are responsible for their own tables and chairs. You may bring your own tent
(size not to exceed 10’ x 10’).
• Electricity is not available.
• Breakdown should begin promptly at 4 pm.
• This is an outdoor event, rain or shine, and your fee is nonrefundable.

2013 FPHS MERCHANT AGREEMENT
NORTHWESTERN STABLES, INC. (hereinafter referred to as “NWS”) agrees to provide an 8’ x 8’ setup area for
______________________________________________________________________________________ (hereinafter referred to as “Merchant”)
at the Fairmount Park Horse Show (hereinafter referred to as “FPHS”) on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 7am - 4pm. Merchant
understands that he/she shall be responsible for providing the following products to sell at the FPHS (provide clear description of
products, with photos. Websites are accepted for product review):

NWS reserves the right to move you to a lower priced area, if your desired area is not available, based upon the receipt of your check
and signed Merchant Agreement. Merchant further agrees to hold NWS harmless for any and all claims arising out of Merchant’s
participation in FPHS. Merchant (or a designated representative) shall arrive in time to setup his/her table so that the table is completely
assembled by 9:00am. Merchant shall not begin breaking down his/her table or packing up the items brought for sale until after 4:00pm
unless otherwise directed by committee person. Merchant shall remove all trash from their area prior to leaving the event and place all
trash in the receptacles provided.

The FAIRMOUNT PARK HORSE SHOW WEEKEND is Northwestern Stables, Inc.’s (NWS) premier
equestrian event. Celebrating its 16th year and held at the Northwestern Equestrian Facility (NWEF) in
Fairmount Park it provides an opportunity for horse enthusiasts to enjoy watching lesson participants
from NWS and other park stables, showcase their talents in a schooling show.
FRIDAY evening kicks off the weekend with a celebration of community, good food, and an eye on the
ENVIRONMENT. We will gather at our Roll in the Hay event to thank our volunteers, neighbors and
friends, and honor our dedication and commitment to creating a sustainable facility.
SATURDAY is dedicated to the HISTORICAL significance of the Northwestern Equestrian Facility. Barn
tours and demonstrations, open to the public, will allow the community to get up close and personal
with our history, our programs, and our kids and horses. Seven Fairmount Park Barns are participating
in this event.
SUNDAY is our main event, the Fairmount Park Horse Show. All eyes will be on the participants of the
show. Our CHILDREN and their horses make NWS what it is today. Through riding lessons and other
equine related programs our students come to understand responsibility, community, compassion and
self esteem. Sunday will also host 30+ retail merchants showcasing a variety of unique items. Dotted
across the 10 acres of parkland that is home to NWS there will be something for everyone!
The FAIRMOUNT PARK HORSE SHOW attracts over 250+ spectators and is the annual fundraiser for
Northwestern Stables, Inc. Sponsorship of the Horse Show offers Sponsors the opportunity to get their
brand/product in front of a powerful buying audience.
