Methodology:
To calculate the estimated percentage of undergraduates in College Park, follow these steps:
- Adjust cell C5 by adding any additional students beds developed in College Park
- Adjust cell C6 by figures reported by the American Community Survey (S2504) - multiply total renter-occupied units by % of attached and apartment units
- Adjust cell C7 by updated SF rental numbers from the City of College Park
- Adjust cells D6 and D7 by figures reported by the American Community Survey (S2501) - add % of renter-occupied HHs between the ages of 15 and 34
To calculate the percentage south of Metzerott and west of Route 1:
- The baseline numbers were calcuated by mapping all SF rental addresses provided by College Park, counting the number of student beds in the boundaries,
and using an estimate provided by ESRI Business Analyst by drawing the boundaries in the program
- To update, identify the locations of all new development and add to the City and identified district totals
