ABOUT US…
Mare Nostrum Cup is a company working in association with
Sports Europe in organizing sports events, at National and
international levels and for all ages in the Salou, Costa
Daurada region of Spain.
LOCATION
• Salou is situated in the
northeast of Spain in the region
of Catalonia . It is famous for
its touristic attractions and it is
considered the capital of the
Costa Daurada.
SALOU…
• We are situated at the Sport Complex Futbol Salou, in
the Region of the Camp de Tarragona, more specifically
in Salou, a site strategically situated it is accessible
from:
• - 100km from Barcelona and its International airport.
• - 10km from Reus and its airport.
• - 20km from the train station, AVE.
• - And direct access to the motorways AP-7 & A-7.

• The Mare Nostrum basketball tournament is considered a
reference.
• Participants:
• - 2011: 22 teams.
• - 2012 : 35 teams.
• - 2013: 49 teams.
• - 2014: 88 teams.
The Easter Tournament…
• Hosts around 90 teams.
• Over 1,200 people are directly related with the
competition.
• In three days over 120 games are simultaneously
disputed in 13 pitches.
• The referees are assigned by the Catalan
Basketball Federation.

First day:
Arrival of the clubs to the hotels and resort.
Coordinators and managers meeting.
Lunch and following will start the competition.
2nd day:
Games in the regular phase
3rd day:
Semifinals and afternoon Finals.

Obviously, swimming pools and beaches will
have a very important role in our tournaments
and our clients will be able to enjoy our
environment, which has been named the Beach
of Europe!

This Tournament is the first one to be
celebrated with the purpose to have the
possibility to see the best basketball teams
in Spain and Europe.
This tournament will be celebrated from the
6th to the 8th of December.
