Concept Overview The ambiance of this project will be that of a gracious Don and Doña welcoming their guests to their elegant, comfortable and pampering estate. People will be encouraged to spend time with their loved ones yet able to find the peace that staying outside of the city offers. The style of the hotel will be contemporary Mexican with strong touches of Mexican culture from all of its historical past, with an emphasis on the welcoming and elegant details that Mexican hospitality and haciendas can add. It will be a “casa Mexicana contemporanea con rincones de Mexicanidad clásica.” ` Mexico The project will show a contemporary Mexico with strong touches of Mexico’s rich cultural past. It will not reinforce stereotypical images of Mexico (Sarapes, Burros, Sombreros) but will present an updated and truer idea of what Mexico is today. It is contemporary, gracious, and elegant. Yet it also has a rich cultural past, full of traditions, symbols and images derived from its native Pre-Hispanic cultures, the Spanish colonial influence, and its Mestizo and Criollo cultures. The Sunset Hacienda Tres Rios will not attempt to copy historical references, but will use them as inspiration to create a smooth blend of what Mexico is today and what Mexico has been in the past. While Hacienda-inspired elements will be the main highlight of the project, the other cultural elements derived from all time periods can be incorporated as well. The project will feel like a house, including artwork from contemporary Mexican artists on the walls and on display. High-End Elegance The Sunset Hacienda Tres Rios needs to create an ambiance of luxury and elegance. It will be a place our clients aspire to own. It needs to be grander than where they live so that when they come, they feel they are in another place, a gracious place where they are pampered. To look luxurious does not mean we have to build luxury. It only needs to convey a high-end feel. The look is refined, inviting and truly Mexican. Family Our target audience is Families. Sunset Hacienda Tres Rios will provide families an oasis where they can spend time together in surroundings that encourage time spent together, yet with enough variety that everyone is satisfied. Our clients are owners and therefore will feel ownership of the property. The project needs to reinforce that feeling of personal ownership. It will feel like their own second home, though shared with other families, it will be a second home full of family friends and others on the same quest of quality vacation time. American and Canadian Families They have come to see Mexico yet have an appreciation for an authentic experience. Mexican Families They would like to stay at classic hotels like El Camino Real.
