About Metur Yacht
Founded by Can Kadıköy in 1983, Metur Yacht is located in Icmeler,
Bodrum along the southwestern coast of Turkey. This famous resort
town is also one of the historical sites for wooden boat construction.
Can Kadıköy, a ship owner who specialized in petroleum
transportation, decided to fulfill his lifelong ambition of
circumnavigation. His first family yacht, DRAGUT, a 65 ft ketch, was designed by famous English
designer Stephen Jones. Along with technical assistance from Structural Polymer Systems
Limited and Fernando Sena as project manager, the employees were trained in using composite
materials. Hence, Metur Yacht was one of the first boatyards in
Turkiye to use such materials in naval construction.
DRAGUT was unique in her construction, as she was the first boat to
be built in Turkiye using the strip planking and cold molded
construction which is one of the methods still used at Metur Yacht
today.
Once DRAGUT was completed, Can Kadıköy converted his passionate hobby into his main
occupation. His first professional Project was FLYING 75, a 75ft Mediterranean schooner,
designed by Greek naval architect Antonis Ploutis. Since then, FLYING 75 has gained
considerable recognition by winning boat races in Turkiye.
Since then, Metur Yacht has been a Pioneer in wooden boat construction in Eastern
Mediterranean and has gained worldwide recognition as a result. Major contracts have
successfully been completed and delivered to most European and Eastern Mediterranean
countries including Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Sweden, Lebanon and Israel.
Hence, Metur Yacht has become the major wood-composite boat exporter in the Aegean coast of
Turkiye.

TC 51 - ALEXA - Hoek Design B.V.
A cold molded hull with composite deck, cockpit and superstructure is presently under
construction at our boatyard. The Classic 51 ft is a beautiful boat with a harmonious design,
exquisite overhangs, an elegant coach roof and a flush deck. The two original skylights on the
deck come as standard. The Yacht’s perfectly finished aft cockpit, with its attractive round seating
and solid overhangs, provides a special place for the helmsman, where all functions for operating
the sails are within easy reach.
The Classic 51 ft owes her exceptional handling properties to the design of the underwater
section, where Andre Hoek makes a radical break with traditional features such as keels running
the length of the ship and minimal rudders attached to the keel. The boat comes standard with a
deep fin keel with bulb and a rudder with its own skeg, which ensures that course corrections are
passed on immediately and allows for precise sailing close to the wind.
The Classic 51 ft is designed as a semi-custom yacht with a main deck which seamlessly
continues into a spacious interior. Panels are finished with moldings in solid varnished anigre
while white v-grooved ceilings give the impression of a truly classical wooden deck. The Saloon is
also functions as a galley and is equipped with every conceivable facility.
The engine is placed under the stairs at the level of the partition between the chart table and the
salon. The entire fore ship is occupied by the owner’s cabin and includes a large bed on the
starboard side.

TC 65 - MOZAIEK - Hoek Design B.V.
Yachting Monthly magazine described the Truly Classic 65 as “a truly beautiful classically built
dream boat that instinctively looks right from all angles”… And who are we to argue.
With her spoon bow, sweeping sheer and long overhangs, the TC 65 takes the TC 56 to new
lengths. Just a couple of steps down from the sheltered cockpit, the deckhouse has all the space
you need to plot your cruise in comfort. The aft cabins are large enough to be en suite should you
require, and you can create a splendid owner’s cabin complete with settee and Pullman berth. A
magnificent saloon is overlooked by the galley and can easily seat eight for dinner.
The longer length of the TC 65 also enhances the passage making ability of a boat that perfectly
blends form and function. Mozaiek will have carbon spars by Southern Spars including a Park
Avenue Boom. Her sail plan is further optimized for performance and taller then the original TC65.
The interior of Mozaiek is designed in bare teak with carbon fibre, work tops and leather floors, a
new and unique styling concept.

PC 85 - WIND HUNTER II - Hoek Design B.V.
This plumb bow classically styled custom design is being built with an aluminium hull, deck and
superstructure, teak decks, lifting keel with bulb and a carbon spar package for an owner who
wants to combine classic characteristics with modern day amenities.
The aluminium work is being carried out by Aluboot B.V. in the Netherlands after which the hull will
be transported for completion at Metur-Yacht A.S.
The yacht will comprise a full-beam aft owner’s cabin, three guest cabins, deck-house with dining
space and navigation area, a large open plan salon with integrated galley, and a separate crew
quarter.
An interesting feature of this yacht is a large open plan cockpit with a wide-diameter steering
wheel, a dining table for ten and a full-length aft sundeck.

HOLLANDIA H-1
A star is born again !
After an extensive rebuild at Metur Yachts in Bodrum, Turkey, the famous 1927 Int. 8-Metre
Hollandia is back in her element and ready to join the fleet!
Hollandia was designed and built in 1927 by Holland’s premier naval architect, G. de Vries
Lentsch, to represent Holland at the 1928 Olympics in
Amsterdam. Launched the year before she was shipped to
Genoa to compete for the Coppa d’Italia and on her first
outing she made a great showing taking home this so very
prestigious trophy.
So here she is, the star of the 1927 Int. 8-Metre Fleet,
Hollandia H-1 is born again and ready to join the fleet. I hope
you will all join me in a toast to the men that saved Hollandia
from that beach behind the Iron Curtain, to the students that
maintained and loved her at the University of Rostock in East
Germany for almost 50 years, to the kind foolishness, courage and dreams of Jos Fruytier and the
team at Metur Yachts that made another dream come true

66FT CUTTER SLOOP “MAZU”- Hoek Design B.V.
Presently under construction, this stunning design is being built by Metur Yacht in Bodrum,
Turkiye under supervision of Hoek Design to ISO standards and is due to be launched in June
2013.
The hull is built in cold-molded epoxy with carbon reinforcements with a teak covered deck and
flush carbon hatches. A three meter T shaped keel, carbon rudder, full carbon rig package
including a V boom and EC6 rigging from Southern Spars and her long waterline and medium
displacement will ensure a fast and easily sailed yacht.
This 66ft plumb bow design is under development for an experienced yachtsman and his family. A
long waterline, light displacement and a deep draft will create a very powerful yacht. Built in
composites, with teak decks, wrap-around glass deckhouse and a carbon spars, she will definitely
be an eye turner.
Her interior layout incorporates a large salon, galley and a day head using the full height of the
deckhouse creating a well lit and spacious atmosphere. The master cabin has two twin beds, an
en suite head with a shower stall and a bureau/navigation station. Two airy guest cabins situated
in the aft both have standing room and ample storage space.
All technical installations are under the cockpit floor with access through a hatch and the steps
leading down to the salon. Storage is in the forepeak which can also be used to sleep an extra
person on a folding bunk.
One of the major features of this vessel is the sun deck behind the helmsman’s position and the
large cockpit area. With swept back spreaders and a self tacking staysail she will be easy to
handle for a short handed crew.
