President’s Message
*REMINDER*
Greetings,
Thanks to all of you who attended our October lunch meeting and making it a success!
We have several exciting events coming up that you will want to be involved with. Our
November monthly meeting will be held on Friday, November 11th. We are thrilled to
welcome back Dr. Andrew L. Urich, JD. Meeting details are on page 2 of this newsletter
and you can register online at the Tulsa Chapter IIA website on the “Events” page.
Additionally, we are hosting a two-day ACL workshop, “Using ACL To Detect Fraud.” This
training is designed for intermediate‐level ACL users and introduces you to using ACL in
fraud detection. You will learn how to create tests for transaction authorization and validation and how to perform trend analysis on employee and merchant activity. The training format takes a hands-on approach and will be held December 1st & 2nd at the Tulsa
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The cost is $750 for both days. You can also register for this
training on the “Events” page of our Tulsa IIA website.

Click on the “Update
Your Profile” link in
the upper left corner
of the page. If you
have changed jobs or
contact information,
please update your
profile so we will have
current information.
Since we have a great deal of knowledge and experience among the Chapter membership,
the officers and I would like to encourage our members to speak at any of our monthly
luncheons. Programs presented by local members not only promote the profession within
the Chapter, but also shares valuable audit practices across industries. Additionally, this is
a good way for the Chapter to achieve those much desired CAP points and you as the presenter earns additional CPEs for preparation time and presenting. If you are interested in
this opportunity, please contact Jason Downs, 1st VP, at Jason.Downs@cn-bus.com.
See you at the November meeting!
Dustin
