The Manvers Campus has ample
FREE car parking spaces – but we
do have a parking permit system. We
have CCTV installed to help protect
vehicles from theft and vandalism.
However all vehicles are parked at the
owners’ risk.
Manvers diner
The Manvers Diner is the perfect place
to relax and catch up with friends
at break and lunch times. There is a
delicious range of hot and cold food
and drinks on offer, with a variety of
healthy options available.
The Griffin Grill
The Griffin Grill is the college’s
brand new fully-commercial training
restaurant located nearby at the Onyx
Retail Park. The restaurant offers a
high quality, contemporary dining
experience, delivered by the next
generation of culinary professionals.

The college’s on-site hair and beauty
Salon has been beautifully refurbished
and is a commercial business providing
treatments to paying customers.
It is also used as a fantastic training

The college has great links with the
Boat Club, which is just 1.5 miles
away. As a Public Services or Sport
student you will use the excellent

It may be possible to receive financial support to
cover any additional study related costs you incur
because of a disability. If you have a sensory or
physical disability, a medical condition, a mental
health difficulty or a specific learning disability, such
as Dyslexia or Dyspraxia you may qualify to apply
for support. DSA is available to both new and
existing students, full-time or part-time and has
no age limit.
If you qualify for Disabled Students’ Allowance you
will need to have a DSA Needs Assessment to
decide on the support you will need on your course.
You can undergo an assessment with a provider at
college at a cost of £300 (students to fund this cost)
or alternatively you can seek a different provider.

The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a qualification
which prepares people without traditional qualifications
for study at university.
The courses are typically available on both a Full-Time and Part-Time basis,
with multiple start dates throughout the year.
They are suitable for those over 19 years of age and provide an alternative route
for those who would like to study Higher Education but who left school without
the qualifications required to meet a university’s entry criteria.
You will learn subject-specific knowledge alongside valuable study skills.

Overview
The Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Hair and Beauty Management is designed
for Hairdressers and Beauty Therapists who wish to develop their skills in order to
raise the revenue and aspirations of their salon.
It is ideal for anyone currently working in a Salon that would like to study at a higher

The Foundation Degree (FdSc) Professional Practice in Health and Social Care is ideal

Overview
The Foundation Degree in Sport and Exercise is ideal for individuals who wish to
further their career in the Sport, Fitness and Exercise Industry. You will develop both
your practical and theoretical knowledge of coaching and fitness as well as covering
contemporary units such as Exercise Physiology, Understanding Performance and
Leadership of Sport.
Students will be learning and training in some of the country’s best sporting facilities!
This includes a fully-commercial, on-site sports centre (DVC Sports), a FIFA 2-star
accredited 3G Astroturf pitch, multisport cages, full-size grass football pitches, a
sports hall, and a state-of-the-art fitness suite.
We use a wealth of sporting equipment and technology used by professional sports
clubs, including a sports GPS system, timing gates and various other technological
equipment and software used to measure fitness and performance.
