When you move out of residence, Primus Canada would
be happy to set up a new account for you. Remember,
Primus Canada also provides long distance and a range of
other telecommunication services to off-campus students,
parents, family and friends, at the same great rates.
As part of your residence service, the University of
Windsor has installed state of the art equipment in
order to provide all residents with a suite of telephone
services. In partnership with Primus Canada, the
University of Windsor is pleased to offer you our
residence phone package which includes the following:

Primus Canada Long Distance Rates
Primus Canada offers you low cost options for your
long distance needs, like Unlimited long distance calling for as low as $14.95/month.
You need to get your own REZ Phone Card with a
unique Personal Authorization Code (PAC) to use
every time you place a long distance call from any
phone in Residence. This code will allow you to
receive a long distance bill itemizing your long distance calls only.

Sign up for your REZ phone card online at
www.primus.ca/windsor starting August 25. If you are
under 18 years of age you cannot sign up online and
you must fill out a paper application. Primus will be
on campus September 1 and 2 between the hours of
9 am and 4 pm in Vanier Hall - Lobby Area. After that
time, you can obtain an application from the Office of
Residence Services.

billing to help contribute to a greener environment.
E-billing is free of charge. For customers who wish
to receive paper bills, a charge will be applied to
your invoice.
Your Voice Mailbox
Logging in for the first time
Dial 7777 to access the system
At the “Mailbox” prompt, press # key if you are on
your own telephone, or your extension number
followed by the # key from a remote location.
At the “Password” prompt, enter your 5-digit
temporary password (“5” followed by your
4-digit extension) and press # .
You will be prompted to change your password.
Changing your Password
(must be a minimum of 5 characters)
Log in. (See above for first-time log in)
Press 8 4.
Enter your old password (for first-time log in, “5”
followed by your 4-digit extension), followed by # .
Enter your new password followed by # .
Re-enter your new password, followed by # .
Press 8 3 to log out or press 4 to return to
Main Menu
Recording your greeting
(external)
Log in.
Press 8 2 for greetings.
Press 1 for external greeting.
Press 5 to begin recording greeting.
Press # to end recording.
Press 2 to listen to the greeting.
Press 76 to delete & re-record if necessary.
Press 8 3 to log out or press 4 to return to
Main Menu.
Recording your personal verification
(first name and extension #)
Log in.
Press 829 for Personal Verification.
Press extension number followed by #.
Press 5 to record. Please state your first name and
extension # as the recording on your personal
verification.
Press # to end recording.
Press 8 3 to log out or press 4 to return to
Main Menu.
Different ways to leave a message
1.Express Messaging
The Express Message feature is a quick and easy
way to leave a message without logging into
your mailbox or calling a local and waiting to be
forwarded to the mailbox. The Timed Delivery
option cannot be used.
Dial 6777.
Enter the mailbox number of the recipient
Press #
Record your message
Hang up
Note: You may press # after you have finished
recording your message. Or for messaging options
(Private,Urgent), press 7 0 .
2. Creating Messages From Within
Your Own Mailbox
This requires logging into your mailbox and
recording a message within your own mailbox,
choosing the person(s) that you would like to send
your message to, editing the message if necessary,
and then sending it to the appropriate party(s).
This method of messaging allows you to send a
message to one or more mailboxes and use all
available messaging options.
Log in
Press 7 5 to compose
Enter mailbox number(s)
Press # (after each mailbox)
Press # (end your list with an extra
number sign)
Press 5 Record your message
Press # To end recording
Press 2 Listen to your message (if necessary, 7 6
to delete or 7 0 for messaging options)
Press 7 9 to send message
Press 83 to log out
Listening to messages
Dial 7777 to access the system
At the “Mailbox?” prompt, press # key if you are
on your own telephone, or your extension number
followed by the # key from a remote location.

to listen to the message, press 2
After listening to a message, press 7 6 to delete.
The message is not deleted until you press 8 3 to
log out OR
Press 4 to skip back to the message you deleted,
press 2 to replay message. When you log out with
83, message is deleted OR
Press 7 6 again, while in the message, to restore
the message.
Important: Your saved messages will be
automatically deleted after 14 calendar days.
Press 7 3 to Forward a Copy
to Someone Else
After listening to message, press 7 3 to
forward a copy.
Enter the mailbox number followed by # key
(or a list of mailboxes).
End the list with an extra # key.
Press 5 to record an introduction.
Press # key to stop recording.
Press 2 to listen to your introduction. (optional)
Press 7 9 to send your introduction and the copied
message.
Press 7 6 to delete the original message (optional).
