ECTS Master’s degree courses are based on credits, in accordance with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). Each credit corresponds to 25 to 30 working hours, the time required to complete all planned learning activities, including attending lectures, seminars, independent and private study, preparation of projects and examinations. One- or two-year programs Master’s degree courses are a minimum of 60 credits and a maximum of 120, the equivalent of one or two academic years of full-time study, respectively. Access Anyone with an officially recognized university degree may apply for admission to a master’s degree course. Those with a qualification obtained at a foreign university may be admitted to a master’s degree course provided that they obtain prior official recognition of their degree or, if this is not possible, prior verification that their studies constitute a level of education equivalent to that of a Spanish bachelor’s degree and which would enable their admission to a postgraduate course in the country issuing the qualification. Specific funding is also available to facilitate student mobility and researcher training, for those wishing to carry out research or complete their doctoral thesis. Information on grants and funding: The Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) also offers specific financial aid programs for students (preferential loans to cover enrollment fees, purchase computers, obtain guaranties, etc.).
